Lumps in loose skin

The good news is, I have lost enough weight I have loose skin every where. The bad news is, I'll need PS. In the mean time, I notice I'm getting these pea sized hard lumps, particularly in my thighs. They are loose and move around. I figure its a glob of left over fat. Anyone else have anything like this? Torrey (281/188/160)

Hi Torrey, I feel the same thing in my arms. Weird feeling isn't it? I am going to ask my surgeon about them when I see him on Monday. Will be interesting to see what it is. Hey, we are really close in numbers Tammy 291/284/184/164 surgeons goal/145 my goal

Do let us know what your surgeon says. I assume it's all part of the process. Tammy, since we're so close in numbers, may I ask if you scale has been moving. I think I've only lost three pounds in the last two months, but my body is sure changing. Torrey (281/188/160)

Torrey, If you check out my weight loss chart on my profile, you'll see that my weight loss really slowed down for May (2 lb loss) & June( only 1/2 lb) 2 1/2 lbs total from May 1st through June 30th. However, it seems over the last couple weeks, the scale seemed to start to move again I've already shown a 4-5 lb (depending on the day) loss since the 1st of July. I'm not sure if it's because it's my bodies time to lose or if it's because I've been bike riding pretty much every day this month .... But I'll take the numbers going down. I haven't measured since May 24th, when I measured then I had lost 10 inches over my entire body (i measure everything that could possibly lose inches)... So, I know as of then I wasn't on a plateau...just stalled out a little. It'll be interesting to see my next measurement. At any rate....looks like were are in the same boat, hopefully, your scale will start moving again soon. Tammy

Hi Torrey, I actually had more of that pre-surgery, like Tammy in my arms. I don't notice them as much anymore. I'll be interested to see what Tammy's surgeon has to say. Dawn

Hey Torrey! I have a problem with these as well. They are fatty tumors (fatty deposits), however, I did have this problem before having weight issues in my life, even when I was pretty thin, but not as bad as now. It seems to run in my family, but I am interested in what the surgeon comes back with. My internist says as long as it feels round and moves around easliy under the skin it is usually just a fatty tumor. Take care! It's my understanding that these are fat CELLS, which are empty now that we've lost the weight. The cells remain even tho they are essentially empty of the fat itself. . . .
