A WOW moment

I had a wow moment today. I work for the Navy, and we sponsored a Blood Drive today. I went over, kind of expecting to not be able to donate. But, they gave me an A-OK to donate even with checking iron levels. Then, they got in first time and had a good blood flow. I have donated over a gallon of blood in the past, but had to stop about 12 years ago because they couldn't seem to hit a vein anymore! I also have been an really hard stick for blood for years to the point that I had a little vein above my elbow that could be hit with a butterfly needle. That was the only place that they could get blood for routine blood tests. When I had my surgery, I blew the IV and the phlebotonist came in and worked for almost 2 hours to get a line back in. And then today, ...WOW..., I gave blood and it wasn't an ordeal! I feel great! Eileen 327/210/160ish

Eileen Good for you. My sisters and I were just talking about this the other day. Normal sized people do not realize how big of a deal it is for us to be able to accomplish the littlest things post-op. This surgery is truly a blessing.... Have a wonderful 4th of July Tammy 291/284/189/145

Wow! Brave woman! Get me if I let someone work for 2 hours on me with a needle and then follow up that with giving blood. I bow down to ya! Dawn 258/133/135
