Good morning to everyone! I have a question about what do you eat and snack on doing the day and night before bed. I know some of you may try to flame me but oh well. I myself most times start the day with 2 scramble eggs with melted cheese, and 2 slices of bacon. Some times I may eat a small bowl of cereal with regualar vit-D milk. At lunch times doing the week I eat lean cuisine meals and have a fruit most times a banana it really fills me up. After I get home in the evening this is were a I mess up. Because when I prepare dinner for my son its hard not it nibble are taste his food. I'll eat a salad with mandrian oranges and canned chicken breast, with frenches do it rite salad dressing. But before bed I get hungry again and I know this is not good but I'll eat maybe a hand full of chips and drink some crystal light and go to bed. So I would like to hear what some of you eat doing the day and night. Please reply. Thanks and have a great day Carolyn/ Jc C. 284/195/ 150 or 160-ished.

Hi Carolyn I struggle everynite before going to bed!! Thats when the head hunger sets in for me! I try to keep snacks that are good for me like pretzels, protien bars with low calaries and low sugar. etc. For some reason I love the crunchy stuff and carbs!! I work very hard with these issues. Its hard for me as well.I think I would have lost more by now, but still over all Im doing great. And I do walk, walk, walk.!!! I try to get all my water in daily as well. You are not alone!! And your doing GREAT! Take care sheree 285/197/140ish

I try to go to bed early to avoid the night time snacking. Or worse, I've taken to skipping dinner, because I'm tired and not hungry. I find, if I'm really tired, and just can't bring myself to eat, I'll do a profect protien. Torrey (281/194/160)

Carolyn, I, for one, would NEVER flame you for posting a question like this! We are all in this together and don't need to put each other down for anything. I find that I feel very snacky in the evenings too. And it's for crunchy stuff. I keep 97% fat free popcorn on hand for those times. We don't keep chips or crackers in the house. I can't have them here because they are too much of a temptation. And my family doesn't complain. From what you have said, I don't think you are eating bad at all. At least you are trying to stick with high protein choices most of the time. That's good! Make sure you are getting lots of water in too. I find that sometimes I need fluids, not food. I get a hunger inside but it's not really hunger for food. I drink something and it goes away. Maybe try that if you are feeling like eating. You might need fluids instead. Of course this is my own opinion, but I am just trying to help ya out! Take care, Lori

Hi Carolyn, I think it sounds like you are doing pretty good. However, if I am hungry before I go to bed I will have 2 teaspoons of peanutbutter. It really helps with the munchie feeling and stays with me longer then chips or pop corn. I have tried pop corn, but I eat way too much of it, so I will go for the peanutbutter right off the spoon, no crackers or anything and it is quick and easy. Hope this helps. Lori 293/202/135/130

I eat roasted/salted soy nuts. I often mix them with a small amount of m&m's or dried pineapple. The soy nuts have 11 grams of protein in 1 oz. In the morning, I mix 2 oz of soy nuts with m&m's (maybe a handful) or pineapple...just enough to cut the saltiness of the nuts. The m&m's are too sweet alone and the nuts are too salty alone. Anyway, I should also add that I don't dump, so the m&m's or dried pineapple don't bother me, but I still limit the amount. I eat this as a morning and afternoon snack and it gives me 22 grams of protein during the day. I don't get the PM hunger cravings, so that's not been a problem for me. I buy soy nuts at the grocery store. At my grocery store, they are in the deli/produce area. They have a spot where there's dried fruits and different types of nuts. They are pretty inexpensive. Plus they are pretty light weight, so 2 oz is a pretty decent size snack. Have a good day! Tina 335/207/150 ish....someday!

Hmmm. The past few days its whatever I can find. My stressors have been out in full force. But as to your question on snacks, I too want the crunchies, I've been eating pickles, nuts, the 97% ff popcorn (sometimes it doesn't go down well though) and just tonite I found some soy crisps from quaker, they taste like a bbq chip and have protien. On what you were saying about getting hungry, I find that I need to eat something every 2-3 hours, it doesn't have to be much but if I don't then I start the grazing and we all know where that leads! (It leads to me eating like a pig this weekend for one!) Don't beat yourself up on it though, its not worth it, we are only human you know! (Some advice I really need to take for myself tonite!)
