The pain was minimal. No big deal really. I considered it a walk in the park compared to the thigh lift. We are still waiting for the pathology report so I know what the skin weighed. I did see pics of what was removed and was over whelmed. There was a 6 inch ruler in the pics and it looked tiny. I am going to get copies and put it up on my page. Take care and good luck on your research, Christie

Wow, you look great. Thank you for posting the pics, i'm just starting to look into the tt and other ps. How is the pain? Did the doc tell you how much the skin weighed that he/she removed? It must feel great having such a flat tummy. Congrats on your success! Hugs Linda 360/168/?

i posted a reply to a question about weight gain but noticed it may not be seen unless i post it on its own. there is a helpful article at http://home.comcast.net/~muzicluvr777/Eval.htm it is entitled "evaluation for weight loss failure" and has some good sound advice for those of us that are further out. hope it helps! lisa

Hi Tracy, Remember me? We had surgery on the same day.I am struggling these days as well.I go up and down with the same 5 pounds.Today I weigh 157 tommorrow it will be something different.I know I need to exercise more,I hear weight training makes a world of difference.I don't have the time or money to join the gym so I'm at a loss on what to do.Let me know what you come up with.I eat just about anything these days that too can be a problem. My goal at this point is to not gain.If i lose that would be great but I haven't seen any weight loss in at least 6 months.Size 5 lucky you,I wear a 10 sometimes a 12.How tall are you?I feel great and have a ton of energy I guess that's what matters most!!!

Topic: survey help
Hi-My name is Martha Dunn. I am completing my doctoral degree at Antioch New England Graduate School. My dissertation research project explores post bariatric surgery behavior, struggles and needs. If you have 10-15 minutes to complete the survey, it would be a big help to me. Also, if you have friends who've also had the surgery and could forward this message to them, that would be great. More in-depth details are on the link that follows and thank you in advance. Martha http://www.surveymonkey.com/s.asp?u=60661940436

You know, this is a really serious thing for us who are this many months post-surgery. My surgeon talked about this problem with me BEFORE I even had surgery. I haven't lost any more in about 8 or 9 months, but I try very hard to keep it within a 5-pound range....around 185 for me is good with my 5'9" frame. But, the very old saying "Calories In must be less than Calories Out" is the real key. You must burn more calories than you are taking in for you to lose pounds. Eating less is fine, but just try to really bump up the exercise. Your body will continue to burn calories even at rest. You know all about muscles vs. fat....and everything else about the I & O's of calories. I am preaching to the choir. I try to get in walking when I can....I have a new dog, and she loves to walk! I drink at my desk constantly. I really try not to snack so much. It's all very hard, but I just LOVE my new body and all the new clothes so much, I cannot bear to think that I would gain enough back to buy bigger clothes again. No way! I KNOW how hard it is.....an I even woke up thinking about you this morning. (I read the post last night.) It must be difficult for all of us. But, I know you can do it, and I have confidence that you are going to try your best---for the rest of your life---to keep it off. Good luck to you! Keep us posted on your success! ~Laura
