There are plenty of times where I feel that I can eat too much, but then I have plenty of moments too where I'll take 3-4 bites and be stuffed. Also remember, we're nearly 2 years post op and will be able to eat more than we could a year ago. As long as you're not consistantly overeating or munching through out the day...you'll be fine! Debra, you look great. Hopefully one day I can go sky diving just like you. The only sky diving I do is when jump off the dinning room chairs. Hey, atleast the chair doesn't brake anymore when I sit on them. Keep on looking great and take care.

Patrizia, If you are eating high protein foods, staying away from high fat foods, drinking plenty of water then you are problably fine. Plus don't forget to keep on exercizing. I wish I could give you better help concerning the bloating. Hopefully someone can give better help. I eat most of the time egg substitutes, lean ham, corn tortilla and skim milk afterwards. Grill chicken or tuna sanwich with nonfat mayo for lunch. Bean soup or black bean soup with nonfat cheese. If I have beef I will buy lean meat and use the George Foreman grill machine. Add some spinach or broc. to the meal. I love adding hot chili to my meals. In between I will have fruit as a snack. I still eat food that is fat or is high in surgar sometimes. The major difference is that I will have small portions of it. Are you trying to lose more weight? You look awesome in those pictures you have shared. Take care and continue letting us know how you are doing.

OMG! You have gone skydiving....TWICE? I am so impressed and excited for you! What an awesome thing to do.....It's not on my "list," but I wouldn't turn down the opportunity, if some friends wanted to do it together. Sounds like a TON of fun! In Albuquerque, NM, I did the hot air balloon thing last year....and this year, I went to Scotland to visit my life-long pen pal. Both experiences were on my "life list" of things to do before I die. The list is much easier to check off when you're free from all the baggage of the weight, right??? Oh, you look just fabulous, sister, and I am thrilled at your success. Thanks for sharing the photos and keeping your profile up to date. ~Laura

Lisa, no one can blame you for not posting on the message board. My heart went out to you when I read the problems you are having with your eyes. Our prayers also go out to you. We are all here for you. It is true many of us are doing great, but we never know. Remember, our surgery is only close to 2 years. We are still babys. Personally for me, this is one of the reason why I value this message board. We all understand each other. We all have lived some of the same complications. Take care and when you have a chance keep us updated on your eye problem.

Hi louis I too am guilty of not posting very often. Life has been hetic with another move and all. I have also been dealing with residuale and NEW complications from the surgery. Specificlly those related to diabeties.......... It seems that while the weight loss has a drastic and positive improvment in Blood glocose levels, this sudden and drastic change has NEGITIVE effects on the rest of the systems. specifically the eys.... The sudden "improvment" causes onset of diabetic retinopthy w/ macula edema.... in short. there is bleeding in my eye and it is causing a swelling of the center of the eye (macula). and this causes blindness............... So far I have had to have numerous laser treatment and now steriod injction ( YES IN the eye!) tHE BEST i CAN HOPE FOR IS A REDUCTION IN FUTURE SIGHT LOSS.... i WILL NEVER HAVE 100% EYE SIGHT AGAIN. For all of three months i was ULCER FREE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yet once again the ulcers have returned, with associated vomiting.... and problems of anirritated eshphagaus. I think if I knew the INCREASED PROBABILITY of BLINDNESS associated with the results of drastic weight loss I would have NOT had the surgery. I had the surgery to improve my diabeties... now i mafacing progressive blindness as well as a saggy body, and more stomach problems. I am glad so many other are doing so well. I continue to read the boards and wonder just how many others are still not doing well or having problems they were never told abot. Lisa.

Carol, if the reason why you were away for 3 months was because you were sooo busy, and living life to its fullist, then you are forgiven. We can't ask for a better excuse. We are all so happy for you. Plus, we would like to see pictures. When you take a break from your busy schedule, try and let us know that you are continuing to do great. That is right, you are not a big girl, you are an awesome lady. Take care.
