Topic: How was your holiday?
OMG it was the best holiday i've ever had! I had one drink (sf kool aid and bacardi) and i was plastered. I met some new neighbors and had my kids enjoying it, and a few friends over with their kids, lots of yummy food (healthy too), fireworks were awesome, it couldn't have been any better. I missed a bunch of friends who no longer talk to me due to my wls.....of course, jealousy. And then again, i have a lot of new friends who are a lot of fun to be around. Have any of you noticed how ppl approach you now? I have lived in this house almost four years. My neighbors on the corner across from me have never spoke to me or let my kids play with theirs.....i always thought they kept to themselves. Well a month ago i ran into her at the store, and she acted like my best friend and now ask my kids over every day. Do you think it is discrimination, or is it that ppl were afraid to approach me? It's just weird to me. Have any of you used 3 D glasses to watch fireworks? It was awesome. I hope everyone is doing well. Hugs Linda

Topic: One pound from Goal!
Dear Everyone especially slow losers, I just wanted to share with you that I have almost reached my goal. I am so very happy and pleased with my progress. I wanted to get to 170 by August and it looks like I'm going to make it. I had stopped loosing for a few months but it looks like I am back on track Woo Hoo! I have gone from 311 to 171 so far. If I loose any beyond that okay but when I started I wanted to make 170. I'm grateful that it has taken me some time to get here because I've had time to get adjusted along the way. Or somewhat adjusted. I had hoped to wear a size 12 and the other day I got into a pair of size 10 jeans. Unbelievable! I know the board is slowing down some what which is to be expected but that's okay. Hopefully it will be here when we need it. Remember everyone this is only the beginning. If I can be at 170 or less ten years from now "Praise God!" I hope you are all well and enjoying a great summer. God Bless K. Reed

Renee we have you in our prayers. We are always here for anyone that needs our support. I know you will show up to Lexington with a six pack. We have faith that everything will come out fine. Besides being a support group, this message board is also very informative. Can you please explain what is a pannus? I'm sorry I don't know. After the surgery, when you feel better, have the strength, and have time, let us know how the surgery went. God bless you and hope to hear from you soon.

Topic: RE: what are you guys eating now adays??
You Look Mahvelous Dahling I usually have some oatmeal about 930am..snack on a few pretzels abt 1130am lunch is somewhere around 1230 and I have a Chicken breast grilled, or a "box of food" from lean cuisine..afternoon is a banana with peanut butter. Supper is about 5pm and I can usually eat anything but pork and beef. So I concentrate on Protein 1st and then salads or veggies. Quantites are still minimal, however my whole life doesn't revolve around food anymore..and I have to make myself eat. Also have to make myself drink my water.. easier in the summer than winter I can't eat beef, pork milk products, pickles taste nasty and i stay away from sweets, unless i want a good cleaning out!!! hahahah if i need something sweet theres alot out there made with Splenda and that satisfies me. Hope that helps OH yeah I could live on brown beans and do eat a lot of those. Renee

MY ANNIVERSARY DATE IS 8-26-2004 AND I FEEL WONDERFUL..Not a lot of time to sit at the computer, but any time i need a kind word, prayer, or to keep up with what's new I turn to this web-site. Its the best. I started my journey with a lot of health issues, and 330 (apprx) pounds.. I'm down to about 185 and getting ready to have my pannus removed with my hernia surgery. I need your prayers..the "drano treatment" is later today, and surgery is tomorrow. will keep you posted and EVERYONE don't give up on the web site..it's the greatest. hope to see bunches of you in Lexington this October..Look me Up..I'll be the one with the "six pack"... or the "case" I've been packing on my REAR for years!!
