Topic: RE: how much do you eat now?
I am glad that you posted this because I am having similar feelings. Last night over the course of probably 40 minutes I ate two soft tacos. I felt horrible about it. But after I ate the first one I was still hungry. I am at the point where I wish I could go back to immediately pre-op when I was scared to death to even think about over eating. I have a friend who said she can eat two pieces of pizza. It is so scary because I have been at 220 for almost a month and I know I need to start buckling down on what I am eating. I just got so burnt out on chicken and eggs that I fell off the wagon for a minute. I am glad I read these posts because they always motivate me to get moving again.
Much Love,
Shelli

I HAD long THICK curly Healthy hair too.
I cut it off when I was losing it because it pained me to see it fall. I was using this stuff by ION for protein rebuilding. It works WONDERFULLY. But remember that a lot of your "Frizz" is probably baby hairs growing out. So there really isn't too much you can do. Maybe a better gel/mousse/whatever you use.
I highly recommend the Ion stuff though. It's $8.99 for a pump bottle and it's quite a bit.
Good Luck!

Hi Laurie,
Have you considered cutting it off? I did and have no regrets whatsoever. I love my new style! It actually cut almost 12 inches off! When you cut your hair, I have noticed that for whatever reason, it doesn't fall out as much.
If you have natuarlly curly hair, try Frizease product. Works AWESOME. Even a good mouse would world well. When you hair is wet, scrunch your hair using these products and then use a difuser on your hair dryer, using your hands to scrunch your hair. End with a light spray on conditioning hair spray.
I have noticed when I use a lot of conditioner, my hair falls out more. Try less and only use it on the ends of the hair.
Losing hair is part of the surgery, unfortunately but there are little tricks that can make it less of a miserable process.
Good luck!
Hugs,
Denise

Hi Sunny,
It is funny you mentioned oatmeal. I have been craving this something terrible!
I almost bought a box of the 50% less sugar brown sugar oatmeal by Quaker. The stats weren't too bad except for the carbs, which I am okay with. I don't know why I didn't buy it because I am kicking myself in the ass now...I am craving it!
Do you handle it well? Any problems with it? What kind do you buy and how do you prepare it, with milk or H20?
Thanks,
Denise

Hello... I only eat cause I know I have to.. but I really never feel hungry...the week days are easy...I eat turkey meat in the morning and a weigh****cher meal at lunch.... and dinner usually a chicken breast and some kind of vegetables...
The weekends are another story... I dont eat like I should...cause we are always running around so we eat out alot.... usually all weekend.... but I watch what I eat... try to be healthy cause I dont want to get sick while we are out...

Topic: RE: Drinking with meals?
I too am guilty of this. There are alot of things I can do but not drinking with meals is not gonna happen. Sometimes I have to drink something. I do take it easy though. A few sips. It's just a necessity when I do. I do alot better not drinking after than before eating!

I am eating more know. I do get hungry alot more often know also. I keep thinking something is wrong. But last week when I went to our support group this is also some of the other ladies problems. But I too have the problem with my eyes are bigger than my belly. I doesn't take a whole lot to fill up still. I can sometimes eat more than others .
Topic: RE: how much do you eat now?
Well here is my take on it....I am a lot more hungry now, but I still can't eat much. I definately eat more now than in the beginning, but often my "eyes are bigger than my stomach." This leads to vomiting and generally feeling horrible.
Most of my "over eating" happens on the weekends, so I am guessing it is the old head hunger rearing its ugly head.
take care

Topic: Looking for a friend
I live in Rockaway, Queens I am looking for someone to talk to or just walk with at night. My husband works nights so when I get home I would like to go for a walk or just talk to someone going through the same things as me. I am 31 years old and love to go walking or just talk. I am not trying to pick anyone up lololo just looking for a person going through the same things as me. I am down about 110 and i am so happy I had WLS. I need to loose 100 more. Now that it is getting nice out I would love to have a friend to walk with.

Topic: RE: PLEASE HELP... HAIR PROBLEMS!!
I have been losing my hair for several months. I don't have a problem with it being frizzy but my hair is straight and I don't color or perm it. I would perm it but it is getting so thin I don't want nothing to damage my hair anymore than it already is. I heard that by 9 months it should stop. I certainly hope so. I don't know what I will do if it doesn't stop. All my blood work is good. I am getting in about 60-70 grams of protien a day plus my vitamins. I don't know what else I can do. This has got to be the worse side effect for me. I feel so good and I am starting to look good except my hair is getting very thin. So of course I don't feel as pretty now. Ugh..I hate this. Oh, well I guess getting thin hair is a small price to pay for gettting rid of 110lbs.
Good luck to all!
