Topic: RE: How are you feeling?
Hi Dawn,
You should be really proud of your accomplishments. I also try to exercise in the morning. I go to the gym 4 days a week. When I get up on gym days, I put my gym clothes on so that I'm not tempted to skip it!
As for your goal, it is quite a bit lower than you would need to have a normal BMI. Do you realize that 10 more pounds and you will have a normal BMI? That is so awesome! So, continue to work hard, but don't forget to give yourself credit for how far you have already come.
As for your graduation- it is a day that I can't forget. My oldest daugher is getting married on May 21st.
I am feeling great. I am also down 93 pounds and need to lose another 90 to make a normal BMI (I am only 5'3"). I haven't weighed this little in 14 years. My 25th wedding anniversary is in June. I don't think I will make it to my wedding weight, but I will be closer that I have been in a long time.
Keep up the good work and good luck with finishing college.
Michelle

Hey Judy....I saw your new pic, and it was great! You look fabulous!
Anyway, I am continuing to hang in there at -72 pounds. I think that the exercise DOES make a huge difference, and even if the weight isn't "melting" off like it did at first, it is still coming off....and the inches are really coming off!
In fact, I was able to get my husband to go clothes shopping with me Sunday (can you believe it?) and he picked out some flirty little skirts and tops for me to try on. We had fun (or at least I did), but the fact that he even stayed in the store for 5 minutes....really impressed me.
I am enjoying all the new shopping experiences. All of a sudden, I'm shopping at The Gap, and Old Navy, and Lane Bryant clothes are almost all too big now! Even at Old Navy, I am wearing 14's and 16's....where before I was way too big to wear ANYTHING they had to offer! (28's & 30's)
Still, I have about 50 pounds to go before making my (doctor's) goal, so I still have work to do. And, even after reaching my goal, it will take a lot of work for the rest of my life to KEEP IT OFF! (sigh) There is no magic to help us keep it off, right?
If you figure it out, let me know, OK? In the meantime, keep up the fabulous work.....you look marvelous!

Topic: RE: how much do you eat now?
Denise,
I have tried the maple and apple/cinnamon low sugar Quaker oatmeal. I really like them both. I was never an oatmeal eater before surgery, but now I find myself craving it. So far, I have made it with water and then add some carb countdown milk to up the protein. I am going to try making it with only milk to get more protein in.
By the way, I was raised in NH and graduated from UNH. My family still lives in the seacoast region. Congrats on your awesome progress!

Topic: RE: Looking for a friend
Hi Lynn,
I wanted to suggest that you post on the New York message board also. That way you may be able to find someone who is close to you. Your progress is awesome! Congratulations. I live in PA, so I can't really do the walking, but you can always come on line to find all your friends

Topic: 8/30....Progress report, where are you all???
Hi everyone,
I am sure I am not the only one to notice that we have not been posting our success weekly. What happened to us? I enjoyed seeing everyones weekly progress. Anyone can start the post, and since I noticed there is none for this week, I will.
I have lost a total of 88 pounds to date, This is 63% of the weight I want to lose. This also being one of the better weeks since surgery. I usually average 6-10 pounds a month, but this month I am already over that. This week alone I lost 6 pounds, and I have yet to reach a plateau. My loss has been slow but steady. I can eat anything, and I don't dump. I try to get all my protein in, faithfully take my vitamins, but slack off on the water.
I hope you all are doing well, and enjoying all the compliments, and good health that comes with a weight loss....
Take Care, and see less of you next week.
