I am down -96 lbs as of this morning. So I am now at 112lbs. Doc doesn't want me under 105 and is talking about putting me on suppliments. I will be having emergency surgery this coming monday to remove the cancer from my ovary and they decided to do a mini tummy tuck. Doc said that the surgery made my thyroid kick back into gear (since the meds never helped) and so my metabalism is high now. Good luck to everyone on their loss. Stephanie

Topic: RE: WEIGHT STALL AT 7 MONTHS
Hi, I had my surgery on 08-23-2004, and i too stalled from Feb 1 to March 14 I did not lose anything, I kept going back and fourth losing and gaining the same 5 pounds, I was just wanting to reach the century club so bad, and I was stuck at 208 to 203, then finally on March 14, there it was 198, 100 pounds gone since surgery, total lost since highest weight was 125. now i am down to 195, so 103 pounds since surgery 7 months ago. not bad, but the past month and 1/2 I really thought was going to drive me crazy. i am now only 5 pounds away from being considered overweight, no longer obese, and definetely not morbidly obese anymore. My goal weight is 150, I just know this last 45 pounds is going to drive me totally crazy, but we can do it. We just have to believe and learn to deal with the times it seems, no more weight is coming off. We are all doing so well, just don't give up and it will come off. Good luck to all

Topic: Peekin in from October board up for ?'s
Hi Everyone I had surgery on 10/5/04 and OMG are things differant now. I still can't eat much at one time but I am constantly wanting to chew. I buy gum to chew on but it is disappointing at first I didn't want anything in my mouth I guess it is catching up. I don't eat bread I can eat a few crackers like maybe 6 with cheese and ham. or something of the like. For the last few months I have been loosing slower which I expected, This month so far nothing and if this isn'****er I have gained 3 pounds. I am not eating nowhere near like before surgery, but nothing like after surgery either. I have 45 pounds till goal and starting to get scared that this is it, I know this is normal but for some it is true. I don't want it to be true for me. So I got the idea to come here and see What Ya'll were going through mentally at my stage and How it turned out in retrospect did You worry for nothing. I will be 6 months out in 2 weeks. Thanks for taking the time to read this appreciate any insight. 5' 5 1/2" 287/198/150 Shell

You all are doing great!!!! I envy those of you who are over the 100 pound loss mark, but I will get there soon enough. Like I said, this week is the first time since the month out of surgery I have had a signifigant loss. My weight loss per week goes from 1/2 pound to 2 pounds on average, but this is OK. I have not had a plateau, and I hate the thought of doing so, especially since I am a slow loser. But, hey...slow and steady and I will win the race anyway. Just the thought of having a better chance of not putting the weight back on is a prize enough for me... Susan

LOL! Thank you, Lynn!!!! That's exactly the idea. Lynn is our first official cheerleader for the ACCC! That makes you head cheerleader, Lynn. You have to sew all the skimpy costumes for the rest of the squad. ---- Leslie -95

Susan, YOU ARE DOING GREAT!!! I have lost 114 lbs since Aug - I can't believe it!!!! I would be happy and satisfied if I can get to the 160's and STAY there (at least not gain!! LOL) so I have 12+lbs to go! Of course - if I lose more - that is ok too! I had slowed down alot and then started going to the gym the first part of Feb and have lost 17 lbs in 6 weeks! I feel good and average 1-2 lb weight loss per week - this last week I lost 4 lbs. I wear size12/14/16. I started at 26/28! Cathy 295/181/160's

I am down 116lbs. From a size 28 to a 16!! People are really noticing and I feel great. I discovered the power crunch bars that are advertised on this website and they are great!! I eat one a day for my afternoon snack. It tastes great and has the added bonus of 14 grams of protein. Glad to see that everyone is doing well...keep up the good work.

Ok. I am not an 8/16'er, but I am close. I am a 8/20'er. I am stuck at 96 lbs down and I am not sure when the next few will come off. My PCP put me on birth control pills (my cycles have been horrible since the surgery), and since then I seem hungrier than I used to be. I just started back with fitday.com. I need to keep track of what I am eating. In fact today I realized I ate 1,000 cals. I need to nip that in the bud. I also have slacked off with the gym. I was going 3-4 times a week and I have not been in almost 3 weeks. Just too much drama with my mom, work and the kids. I really have to focus. I am so glad I can come here and get the support I need and understanding from those who are in the same boat as me. Take care. Alicia (5' 4.5") 240/144/130

Okay, I know there are several of us here who are within a few pounds of joining the Century Club and are struggling with those last few pounds before our big milestone. How about we start an Almost-in-the-Century-Club Club (ACCC)?! The purpose would be to cheer each other on, share things that help us get the pounds moving again, and just create some specific support for those of us who are so close and yet so far from being 100 down. The condition would be that we have to be willing and able to cheer for each other, even when we feel "left behind" and bitter about it; and we have to be willing and able to stick around and keep cheering for others after we've made it to 100 and beyond. I think anyone who hasn't yet hit the Century Club should be able to join ACCC. And anyone who's already there can join as cheerleaders as well! What do you think? We can check in every week and see how things are going. If it's a bad idea or would make anyone feel bad for any reason, please say so! Otherwise, I hope it's something that others would think is helpful and encouraging. I know I'm getting awfully tired of being almost there but not quite. ---- Leslie -95
