Laura, I can understand what you mean with the mind. You get to understand how some people have become bullimic or anerexia. (Sorry if I wrote them wrong.)There are times when I feel I have gain weight. Then I want to go to the extreme and exercize more and eat less, but then I weight myself and realize I haven't gain weight. Then I hug my schale and throw it in the closet till the next panic attack. (hahaha). You look great no matter how much you weight. Take care.

Topic: RE: Anniversary-Funny Question?
For many reasons I NEVER told anyone but my imediate family, and even then I did not tell my oldest son who was living at collage. It was awesome to meet him at the airport some 9 months and - 60 pound post op. His face was priceless. The next time I picked him up at the airport, I had cut my hair very short and dyed it a dark auburn! I think he is wondering what the next change will be!
I too have sat with other "good meaning folks" and heard them all make rude and nasty comments about those that have had By pass. My hubby and two of my 4 kids know. The other two are too little to understand. NO ONE ELSE. It is my business and I do not feel that I have to be the by pass poster child. I have had some complications with ulcers and constrictuers and now serious eye problems ( related to diabeties) and I know those "good meaning folks" would use these as PROOF that BY pass is a mistake for all.
I also don't like these "good meaning folks" being the food police. It is bad enough that I get comment about the food I eat related to the diabeties. Like... Oh My should you be eating Cake....
It is funny in my extended family my aunt also lost weight ( ALSO 60 pounds through Weigh****chers) but no one keeps track of how much food she eats. Food/weight have always been an issue in my family. Either too fat or too skinny!
So for me keeping this personal is also a way to keep "good meaning folks" from overwhelming me with their thoughts ideas, concerns and "best advice"

Topic: Happy re-birthday to ME!!!
I cannot believe it has been two years already! Two years ago i woke up on a vent thinking i was going to die, wishing i had never done this life changing surgery. Today i thank God for my decision and would redo it over and over if i had to. My life hs changed more than i could ever imagine pre-op. I am at goal now and am learning how to maintain. Thanks to all of you wonderful friends who have helped and guided me throughout my journey.

Wow...where has the time gone? I celebrated my 2 year surgiversary on 8/3 this year and funny thing is...I was in the hospital. But not due to illness or injury...but due to that my beautiful miracle daughter Alice Kay was born and we hadn't been discharged yet from the hospital! My daughter was born on 7/31 via emergency c-section (I stopped dilating) at 10:35pm and she came in at 6 lbs 3 oz and 19.5 inches long. This is and will always be my ultimate WOW moment. See...before I had surgery I was very infertile...and even my OB said that had it not been for my surgery and weight loss....I would not be a mommy today or probably ever. So looking back I had the surgery to save my life from diabetes, hypertension, sleep apnea and PCOS...and in doing so it did save my life...and it gave me one. Being a mom is all I ever wanted...and thanks to my surgeon...that dream has come true. Sure I have the sleep deprivation and all that comes with a newborn but I wouldn't trade it for the world.
I do still struggle with some old eating habits, but I'm working on them...this is a tool afterall right? But I'm very happy with my decision to have this life saving and giving surgery...and I'd do it again in a heartbeat. Anyway, I'd love to say more...but my daughter has woken up...
