Karin - I've lost 77 lbs myself and use fitday also. I'm still proud of the weight I've lost. Can you think of any other way you could lose this much weight in such a short period of time. Hang in there girl! I hit a plateau about2 months ago and didn't really lose for a month. I also work out daily alternating weights with aerobic exercises. I'm back now to losing between 1.5 to 2 lbs per week. Let's here it for us slow but steady losers!!!!!!

Karin I have many friends who have had the surgery and are at the same point. I wouldn't fret everbody's body is different all they all react differently. You've done good and I'm sure you look and feel better, they weight will come with time! I was very heavy to start so as I'm told we lose more weight quicker, plus I had the Sapala-Wood micropouch which means a normal RNY pouch is the size of a lemon, mine is the size of a grape. Maybe that has something to do with it. Actually I can say I know it does because friends who have had the surgery by another DR. who doesn't perform the micropouch haven't lost as much as I. I am very fortunate to have lost all my weight in under a year its not common, but I guess my body was in such bad shape it jumped at the chance to feel better. Plus I followed the strict dietary guidlines to a T. I still to this day have had no reifned sugars, pop, bread, pasta, or rice! Also since my pouch is so small I don't handle meat very well, so I am mainly a vegetartian and take alot of supplements. If there is any advice I can give you please let me know! Take care and we are all behind you!

Hello Family! I have been remiss- but for a good reason. January -March is the biggest season for Scouting. It is Girl Scout Cookie Sales time. As you all know, I am very into my Scouting. This year not only was I the troop Cookie mom, I was also the Service Unit Cookie Chair. In simple terms, I was responsible for 5000 cases of cookies- that is 60,000 boxes of Girl Scout Cookies! In addition to this, I am the Yearbook/Portrait chairperson at my son's school. I had a yearbook deadline to get to press so..... That is why you have not seen me Just wanted to let you know I am doing ok FINALLY I still have food issues...BUT..I am really not dwelling on what I CAN NOT do , and just on what I can do. I am almost 8 months out (4/12)...and down 58.5 inches and 97 lbs! I wanted so badly to hit 100...but it alludes me Its ok though cause I am gonna get there and then some! Anyway... I posted a new picture under my profile. and here is my newest set of pics... http://www.picturetrail.com/gallery/view?p=999&gid=7057172&uid=2720669&members=1 Pre-Op to 6 months can be found on my www. Hope everyone is doing well ! Much Denise

Well, Personally I think I suck!!!!! I have not lost but a pound, yes only one pound in (its been so long I can't even remember) about 7 weeks. What the heck? And to top that off I have only lost 78 lbs!! Everyone else is 100 or more I haven't even made 80lbs. This is when I started to work out with weights. I know I added muscle. I can see the difference in the toning of muscles but the weight loss stopped. I drink all my water. I keep track on fitday. I've had some bread but not a lot. I haven't done anything that should have made the weight loss stop. Do you think this is it for me??????? karin

Well ...after weighing in this morning I have lost 2 more pounds. I am two pounds away from the century club. Maybe increasing my water intake has helped a little. Thanks for being a cheerleader!! Alicia 240/142/130

Topic: RE: Why do I focus on the negative????
Thanks for all the positive energy y'all are sending my way. I am really trying to be more positive. I think it is from a lifetime of having low self-esteem. I worry that my children will focus on the negative like me, so I try to put on a happy face with them. The mirror thing is good I suppose, if I could just not look at the skin. I had my dermatologist pull on my fat skirt and tell me it was easy as a snip/snip to take care of all that extra skin. Since then it has been my main focus. Clothes do tend to hide a lot, but we are coming up on bathing suit season. I would really like to go swimming with the kids this year, instead of watching on the side. I will work on a mantra....I am thin...I have more energy...I have had two kids and I'm 37 what did you expect (oops) Take care Alicia 240/142 (weighed myself and finally lost a couple more)/130
