Yes it would be fun to meet some time and share our stories .So do you sometimes get worried that oh know i havn't lost a pound for a couple weeks? I know i have to get into a scheduled excersise plan like maybe starting tomarrow instead of getting on the putor first i will get up and excersise first.Hmmm ! Because what i do now is wait till the last part of the day and sometimes i find my self to tired from everything i did in the day but nothing to get my heart rate going steady like excersising for 30 minutes straight. So what are you doing to help your self?It is scarry cause you keep thinking what if it is like all the other times. Well glad to here from you Vicki

Hey Cathy - Thanks for the suggestions. Fortunately I have been off all diabetic meds since surgery and in fact my blood sugar is running a bit low normal. It's in the high 80's usually! (WHAT A CHANGE!) I did go to my surgeon, who suggested I go to my PCP dr. for a referral if necessary. My PCP doctor also saw me yesterday and because I only have the numbness at nite without symptons during the day that is rules out neuropathy. Also my dr. told me that Peripheral neuropathy usually affects both sides of the body, not just one. He also noticed on my med list that I take spray B12 which he fully supports. His suggestion was that I sleep in a different position at night or put pillow under the part of the hip/leg that is falling asleep and see what happens. I really appreciate the thoughtful responses I received for this problem. I was afraid it was some sort of neuropathy and am relieved about the resolution. Thanks again.

Wow! I am amazed by all the shrinking feet! Last night, I felt compelled to try on sandals at Wal-Mart, and I ended up taking home a pair of 9 1/2 sandals. Can you believe it? I don't think I've worn a 9 1/2 since the 9th grade!!! I am shocked! The 10s in the sandals just were way too loose! What a great feeling! I had to get a pedicure this week to celebrate my new feet! (Ha! Ha!) I love to show them off now! ~Laura

Congrats, Barb, on an awesome accomplishment! I am very impressed with your achievement and wish you an easy road toward 150! The "normal" feeling is divine - and worth everything. I am so happy for you that you're feeling it! I am still at a 90 lb. loss - this month has been VERY slow in pounds but good in inches - so I hope to join the Century Club myself before too much longer! Hearing great successes like yours is inspiring! Enjoy the feeling of this amazing milestone! Kathryn Lap RNY 8/12/04 -90

Hi Barbara. I noticed on your profile that you were diabetic. Neuropathy is one of the side effects of having diabetes. Have you seen your Endocrinologist since surgery? My husband is diabetic and sees an endocrinologist 3-4 times a year just to get everything checked out and he also sees an opthalmologist 2 times a year to make sure his eyes are fine (retinopathy?). Additionally, he never walks around barefoot and checks his feet daily to make sure they're clean and that there are no cuts or scrapes on them which could turn into something more serious. I didn't notice on your profile whether or not you were taking insulin or any oral type of diabetes medication, but it would be my bet that this has nothing to do with your WLS surgery. Keep up with your vitamins and labs and maybe ask your surgeon if you should be followed by an endocrinologist or an internal medicine doc. Hope you feel better soon. Cathy

I am down 81 lbs and now weigh the same I did the day I graduated from High School. I am losing extremely slowly in my opinion but I have lost a ton of inches. I am trying to juggle work and family and getting in all my exercise. I walk two miles everyday at work plus 3 nights a week at the gym and one night of an outside exercise class. I am so ready for plastic surgery already. Unfortunatly I have been dealing with extreme fatigue and headaches. I get the feeling I am a bit anemic. Going to see the dr about it. Starting wt 281 Current wt 200 starting clothes size 22/24 or 2x now 14/16 depends on who makes it- XL( can pluck right off the rack) Don't need the W anymore shoes size is down to a 7 or 7 1/2 I had all my rings resized down to 6's and 7;s which is awsome. I can try on any ring in the jewlery store and it fits. My surgeon says 10lbs a month is great so if I can lose another 40 I will be happy as a clam then time for plastics. Keep up the great work everyone Cheri

Hey Bronda, Happy 8 month birthday! And congratulations on your success!!!! Today (04/07) I weighed in at 161, which is a 96 pound loss for me! Only 4 more to go until the century mark... YAY!!!! Of course I'd love to lose another 31 pounds, but that may be more a dream than anything. I'm definitely going to try! I'm only 7 pounds away from being "NORMAL". I work out 5-6 days a week for any where from 30-60 minutes per day. My favorite forms of exercise are pilates, my elliptical machine (like running kind of), and speed walking/jogging. Wow, what a great trip this has been! I definitely could never have done the exercise before!!!! Everyone keep up the good work! Lots of love, Dawn 257/161/130?
