Not only am I forty four today, but this is my 8 month anniversary from wls...
Last year at this time, I was hating myself and what I had become. I made myself a promise that I would be a healthier slimmer person. I am so proud of myself for succeeding.
This year I am making myself a promise that on my 45th I will be at goal which is 135-145 lbs. God willing I shall be there...
I just wanted to share something exciting with my fellow wls friends.
Last week was Spring break, and we took the kids to Gatlinburg, TN. We went to Dollywood, and I walked the whole park as though I were a teen.
I could fit and ride rides I have not been on since High School!
Kelli and I went to Girl Scout camp this weekend..I stood on my feet for 12 hours, cooking meals for 240 girls.
Not only was I NOT TIRED/EXHAUSTED - I had energy to keep going that evening!
I wanted to say, despite it all, it was worth it! God is Good- We have all been blessed with the miracle of a second chance!
Much
Denise
Topic: My first WoW!! moment
Hi everyone hope you're all doing fine. I would like to share my first wow moment with all of you. I'm 8 months out and a slow loser, but a loser none the less. Any way, yesterday I wore a knit skirt to work that was somewhat baggie on me, as the day went on, the skirt got baggier. So I decided that I needed a drawstring in it. The only thing I had was a 45" shoestring. Guess what it fit with enough left over to pull tight to keep my skirt from falling down. Boy do I feel great about that!!!!!
Just thought I would share.
Hugs and prayers,
Bronda

What an uplifting testimony. Congrats on joining the century club. And good luck with your daughter. I am trying to open up the weight less world to my son too, so I understand about doing your best.
