Topic: RE: What is everyone eating these days?
I'm two years out as well ~ And LOVIN' it! My wife & I have each had LapRNY (hers was 12/04). I've lost about 192, she lost about 150. We both exercise and believe that is the key to major success. Last night we split a sandwich from StL Bread Co. It came with a salad but we each saved that for our lunch today. I eat an oatmeal raisin cookie from there about every day for breakfast with one cup of coffee...ok 2. I still occassionally have a Protien bar with peanut butter. It has about 250 calories but 21 gm of protien & it works for me. Night time snacks are a must for me too, they actually turn into a meal. But I think 4 or even 5 meals a day has been a part of my success. Healthy eating is a good thing; I eat til I'm full. Which is more than 4 ozs but nowhere close to what I used to eat. I still enjoy pizza but now it's thin crust and not the whole pizza! Lots of water!! I also like Water Sensations flavor packs. Or just buy flavored water. I probably drink a gallon a day. I also eat granola bars. Some have high sugar, so be careful and read package. Small amounts of sugar don't bother me though. Snacks include: cashews/ peanuts, pretzel rods, popcorn, cheese & crackers or I'll make my own nachos w/ shredded cheese. good luck Phil -190+

Topic: RE: Anniversary-Funny Question?
Hi! I'm having surgery soon. Hopefully, Oct.6th if all goes well. I'm not telling a soul except my hubby. Like you say, there' such a stigma about it...like we're just weaklings or something. I'm sure there's going to be all sorts of questions about what's wrong with me because I work in the public sector. I haven't decided yet what to say.The only person I'm even considering telling is one of my brothers who is extremely overweight. But whether I tell him or not depends on how he reacts to my weightloss. Just this morning I had a fellow worker tell me to be careful walking across the wet floor. she said " You know how us heavy people can fall and get hurt so easily". Another asked me the other day if I was going on a trip that's being planned. These were her words, " Are you going?! You know there's a lot of walking on this trip!" Maybe they didn't mean a thing but I thought to myself.... " I can't wait until you see me in a few months!" I say that this is my business. My insurance won't pay so I'll be paying for all of it out of my pocket and I'm not asking anyone for a penny so it's none of their business.

Hi everyone, I am 2 years out like most of us that visit this message board. I was wondering if I was about the same as the amount of food I am eating. so...... Just curiuos as to how much you are eating now that you are 2 years out/ I know certain time during a month it feels like I could eat the house and home, and I am able to comsume more during those times. BTW- "normal day for me" Breakfast- protien shake Snack- fruit and a piece of poly cheese lunch -salad or sandwich (sometimes this can be a whole sandwich!!!) Dinner- 3-5 oz of meat vegs. 1/2 to1 cup Snack- nuts, pretzel, popcorn???? whatever I am in the mood for. I tend to get hungery at night Karen
