Topic: CENTURY CLUB MEMBER!!!!!
Hi Everyone , Well I had my 8 month check up on Friday (I know, kinda late), and when I went I was dreading weighing in. My last appt was back in January, and honestly the weight feels like it's taking FOREVER to come off. I was at -97/-98 lbs for what felt like a LIFETIME... And then, dread of all dreads, the morning of my appt. I weighed myself at home and the scale went UP 2 pounds!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I nearly cried!!! HOWEVER, when I weighed in at the dr's office, I had lost EXACTLY 100 pounds!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I felt like balloons should be dropping from the ceiling and a band should be striking up........ WOW!!!!! The ladies in my Dr's office all congratulated me and said how great I looked, if only they knew how great I FELT! My Dr's pretty pleased with my results. He had my goal weight as 160 (I'm 5'6"), but I came in at 157! He said I'll probably lose another 10 or so pounds, maybe more, but will probably end up weighing around 150 or so for the most part. My goal is to weigh 140 before having plastic surgery done, and after plastic to weigh about 130 (I have TONS of excess skin sagging EVERYWHERE... my thighs, my butt, my gut, my arms....ICK!). I work out 5-6 days a week, about 40 minutes a day. Seems to be helping, but my family has really bad skin (lots of sags, wrinkles, and stretch marks). Anyways, I just wanted to let you all know how things are going and that I'm FINALLY a member of the century club!!!! YAY!!!! Lots of love, Dawn 257/157 /130?

That's really cool Karin! I know, I went to my Dr. for my 8 month check up, and was surprised to hear I had lost 20 pounds since my 5 month check up... 20 pounds in 3 months???? It felt like I gained weight in that 3 month time period because I was losing so slowly, but I guess it all adds up! Take care and keep up the good work! Lots of love, Dawn 257/157/130?

Topic: RE: 33 weeks post LAB results driving me crazy
Hey Lisa, Sorry to hear things aren't going so well. I wonder why your labs are all crazy... I wonder if they can maybe give you injections monthly instead of oral... like maybe your ulcer is blocking absorption of vitamins/minerals. At least if they gave you a shot, it would get into your system. I know a lot of vitamins/minerals are needed to repair the body, especially from your ulcer. Keep us informed so we know how you're doing... we're all worried! Lots of love, Dawn

Sorry to hear you're in pain. Make sure you're also consulting your RNY Doc, sometimes other Dr's who aren't familiar with RNY mis-diagnose... maybe not in your case, but at least give your surgeon's office a call so maybe they can work on it together. And don't forget to keep us informed!! Lots of love, Dawn 257/157/130?

Hey sorry to here your having pain. I just had my gallbladder out on April 14th. I was having pain since a month after my rny surgery. I was able to let it go till the pain was bad enough to bother me where I couldn't take it no more. My symptoms were pain on the right side just under my ribs like a stabbing pain that could last a bit, sick to my tummy, and tender abdomen. They did mine lap and I am pretty much better now just a little pain. I have heard alot of people say that gallbladder surgery is worse than rny but I had no problems with it at all. Good luck to you. Stephanie
