Hi everyone I havent lost a thing this week, but am still shrinking. I know its gonna come off, but will be happy whereever i end up. Life is so much easier now, my knees dont ache, my back is fine now, i can walk, ride a bike, exercise, and even work full time now. Something i havent done in over five years. This surgery has truely been a blessing to me, I thank God everyday for giving me my life back. You guys all seem to be doing great, keep it up. Total loss so far -145 pounds. OH...I SO can relate to all of you and I agree that if we continue to support each other and share what we have found that works, we will all be successful AND healthy!! My surgeon told me that if I am really hungry, like really craving a specific thing, to drink water because that is not what true hunger is like. So now that I am plateauing, I have really begun to do this as I too have been into the carbs a little too much lately. I am NEVER buying crackers again!!! They are the devil!!! HA HA HA! If I just drink water every time I am thinking of going to the breakroom and getting into the CheezIts, I do fine. Hopefully we will all be off of this dreadful 8 month plateau very soon. I have just begun to truly excercise by bicycling after work. It is SO much easier than before surgery as I am 141 pounds lighter. I am actually looking forward to going each day. That is SO not like me! Girls, we have a lot of new things to look forward to, so let's stick together and get back on track!!! Blessings Rachel T.

Hey Jude, That's so awesome!!! I know you'd never even notice another guy, but sometimes it feels good to be noticed! It's funny how now, men will hold the door open for me (whereas before they pretended not to see me), and sometimes they even engage me in conversation! HA! I laugh because some of those guys were the same ones who used to ignore me... like I'd pay any attention to THEM now! The funniest thing to me is when I'm on the freeway commuting to school and I see different guys trying to "check me out" as they're driving beside me. On Sunday, this guy was about ripping his neck off to check me out and then tried to ride right along side of me... when I glanced over he nodded his head and grinned. I just stepped on the gas. When I looked in my rearview, he had his WIFE in the passenger seat! THE JERK!!!!! It does feel good to be noticed, we're only human! Your dear hubby has nothing to worry about, just like mine... they loved us at our worst and stood beside us through all of this- how could we ever even THINK about anyone else? Most women are incredibly loyal, and especially since our hubbies are paying even more attention to us now!!!!! Anyways, keep up the good work! Lots of love, Dawn

Hey Leslie, That's awesome your health problems are gone... isn't this surgery just AMAZING??????? Sometimes I forget I've even had it! Don't worry about your plateau (too much, I know it's impossible not to), we've all been on one. My Dr. said most people continue to lose for the first 18 months after surgery, even if it slows down significantly. So just keep it up and maybe start journaling what you eat in a day... at the end of the day you can look up the # calories on www.fitday.com and see if maybe you're getting too much or too little. Or maybe there's some foods you're eating that's triggering the plateau? I know I went through a salty thing a couple of weeks ago and GAINED weight! Like that's not scarier than life itself! Keep on working it, you'll end up losing in the end! Lots of love, Dawn

I feel the same way, bout my hubby Judy. But didn't it make you feel good to know that "Wow so thats what that feels like". My hubby is dealing with this alot when men notice me now. He knows he is safe, Hello we have been married for almost 7 years now and he has been deployed for almost half of that and I am still here, always have been always will be. Thats also a reason I went and had my wedding rings sized early will probably have to do it again but thats ok.

Again girl, that is just awesome. VERY PROUD OF YOU!! I only lost a pound, but being only 19 pounds from goal and all I don;t expect to much. But DARN do I want it. Things are finally settled here inside the new house, but we have to finish spreading topsoil and then I will have more time for an actuall gym, but after spreading 12 sq yards of dirt(a whole dump truck worth), my arms are getting kinda buff. I got the cutest outfit yesterday, it fit well but I could tell postop tummy tuck it would fit nicer. I went and bought "I'm still hungry" by Carnie Wilson yesterday, to keep me motivated. I need motivation at this point. But hearing how your doing is good motivation! Thank you! Maria
