My weight loss has slowed down a lot in the last month only lost 7 lbs and 4 of that was last week.

hmmmm, wish I knew what might help. All I know is my Dr. told me to never self-diagnose... to go and get bloodwork done if I ever feel out of sorts. Your Dr. is paid to help you and can be sued for malpractice if he doesn't... I'd give his office another try and see if they can help you out. If not, I'd look around for a different Dr. If not a WL-surgeon, then at least a bariatric physician. Best of luck!

Hey Katrina,
Well I'm glad you're doing well... I wish I had some advice, but I really don't know much about pregnancy after WLS. I guess all I can say is to listen to your body and if ANYTHING seems out of the norm, get to the hospital immediately! The only other advice is to make sure your OB/GYN is knowledgeable about WLS, and if not, then maybe your OB can meet with your surgeon to learn more about things to be careful of, etc. I wish you and your little one all the best!!!! Oh, also there's a message board specifically for women who've gotten preggo after WLS... you might find some more info out there!!! I'd go to the main entrance and look through the list of message boards that they have on obesityhelp.com

Topic: 8/06/04 Now 18 weeks preg. Anyone with advice?
I am happy and most days seem to go very well. I got preg at Christmas. I had 4 miscarriages in the years before my lap rny. I am still having am sickness. I am currently 1.5 lbs under pre preg weight. Pre op 284 got down to 199.5 now 203.5.

Hey 2 days a week is probably better than you use to do right ! If we make it a chore that isn't good mental wise so do what you like if floor excersises arn't what you like don't do them is my moto. You know what i started doing because i am usually home alone at night just me and my dog till my hubby gets home after second shift , so i dance i find good dancing music and dance for 20 to 30 minutes and that makes me sweat worse than going out and working on the bow flex or strider. I ddo do those once in a while to but i actually enjoy dancing to my own beat. My dog well he looks at me like wow you are weird here let me hold your feet down i will lay on them for you. Crazy dog. But find something you enjoy even going to a park and throw basket balls at a hoop or walk around the mall a lot and if you shop then your carrying your weights wow now that is fun, if you walk fast enough to the next store you might even sweat. Like if you go to one store at one end you see something you want but make your self walk to the other end of the mall to look at something else then go back to the other end to get what you really wanted. We can be creative your doing good though just enjoy each pound you see leave know it is gone for good ok. Vicki

I know what you mean about plateaus . I have had quit a few . One thing if you are excersising as much as you said you are also building up muscle mass which is a good thing. But the muscle does weigh more than fat . So anyway that could be where you don't seem to be taking pounds off as fast lately but you clothes size show you are down SO that is a good thing and i also was told the tape measure is your friend inches are more important than the scales.Even know we cann't get past the scales, i know i am at fault of that big time i weigh every day habit bad one. But in a way it keeps me good to. If i put on a pound or two then i think about what i did the day before and do better .I have a bad problem with water retention doctor says it is a circulation problem mostly because of a lot of joint replacements .So i should watch my salt in take witch i do most of the time but there are the days i feel salt oh i need salt. Crazy mind anyway. I started out size 26 womans now i can get into 12 to 14 depending the maker.It took me till now from Aug.31 2004 till today april 28 2005 to finnaly get below 200 i got to 199 YIPPIE YEAH so excited havn't seen that number in 20 years.But i thought i would of had it off last week with all the different excersises i did but it took a week to get that pound off but it went never to see it again ! Well don't get discouraged just remember it is for good and your probably looking the best you have looked in years and it is only going to get better ! Vicki

I was on a stand still for three weeks but it has ended !!! Lost 6 pounds last week !! Started at 355, now at 218 lost 137 lbs gone forever !!

8/16 er here and I'm down 150 pounds today!! I feel great no health problems and still losing but much slower. It's great to hear how everyone is doing!
