Hi 8/3'ers, I have lost 117 pounds! Woo hoo....down from 2x-3x to a L/Xl in shirts and a 22 pants to 14-16, L pants. It would be much smaller if I could just afford a tummy tuck! I am having trouble with old eating habits as well, which scares me to death. I can tolerate most anything, except that I don't eat sugar.....too scared to try! The scale moves slowly but steadily so I have no complaints!

Hi Kristy!
I'm 9 months out also!
I am down 95 lbs. and I have gone from a tight size 24 to a wonderful size 14 in pants and 3X in shirts to a M in shirts! ![](http://images.obesityhelp.com/mbgraphics/emoticons/jump.gif)
I feel wonderful, and just like you, I have to watch those old bad habits...which are creeping back in! I can tolerate a little sugar...
....but I am doing well not to give in...a little......
....I have been on a plateau but my weight is starting to inch back down.
I am excersizing more than ever. Got to get back on the bandwagon, again!
Have a great day, and keep up the good work!

Tracey,
Congrats on the weight losss you must be feeling great. I am sorry you are going to have to have surgery but know it will not be as bad as when you had all the extra weight and had surgery.
I am down ove 140 pounds since surgery and 155 from my highest weight. I also have to have surgery but for a hernia the doctor discovered when doing my gastric-bypass. I was hoping to loss all my weight prior to needing this surgery but no such luck.
I am 30 pounds from my surgeons goal and 40 pounds from my goal but know I will hit it. I have had no complications from this and know except for my kids the best thing I have ever done in my life.
Best of luck on your surgery and congrats on the weight loss.

I really haven't posted here much but I would like to share my 9 month anniversary. This surgery was the best thing I have done...except for having my kids. I am 143 pounds down as of today, went from a size 26 to a 12. I am 7 pounds from my Docs goal, but he said I am going to pass that with no problems
I feel absolutely wonderful about my decsion even though other problems have crept up. I found out couple days ago that I am going to probably have to have a hysterectomy. My weight hid the fact I had a prolapsed uterus and now that the weight is almost gone...it has gotten worse. Glad I am done having kids
I just wanted to wish everyone good health and luck with their own results.

Donna - you are singing my song, girl!
I hit a plateau at 6 months and was on it until last week. I went on a strict low carb diet. If it's not protein or veggies, it doesn't go into my mouth! I lost 6 lbs. last week. Of course, I did hit the treadmill a little harder, and the results were definitely worth it. I'm back smiling again. Give it a try!

Topic: RE: Sunflower seeds?
Hi! My personal addiction is to pistachio nuts. I started with sunflower seeds, moved to pumpkin and now it's pistachio's. I find that I can snack on them when I am starting to feel hungry. I get protein, plus they make me thirsty so I'm getting in my liquids. And, they are filling and most importantly, keep my mouth busy so that I don't sit around thinking about what I can eat next!
