Topic: RE: eating more than before
Hi all,
I too noticed that I was eating more. I think that it is emotional eating because I have been under some relationship development stress. If you know what I mean. Anyway, I'm glad to be aware of it and it has given me an oppertunity to make better choices about what I want to eat and how I want to deal with stress.

WOW! IS THAT REALLY YOU? WHAT A TRANSFORMATION....
EVERYTHING IS GOING WELL AROUND HERE. I HAVE HOWEVER EXPERIENCED THE TOO FULL FEELING AND THAT IS MISERABLE. USUALLY WHEN WE ARE ALL EATING ONE OF MY FAVORITE FOODS. THAT FEELING IS ENOUGH TO TEACH YOU A GOOD LESSON!!!

Hey Kristy,
I'm a 8/3 er also. I have lost 120 pounds. I have went from 364 to 244. I have went from men's 9XL shirt to regular 3x t-shirt. from 6xl pants from lane bryant to size 20w at walmart.
I have only lost a pound a week for the last month so I think I'm about to hit one of those plateau's everyone talks about.
doing great - having no problems.
life is wonderful.

I am doing great. Have lost 81 pounds so far, and am only a scant few pounds away from being under 200 pounds! I continue to work out regularly and I am seeing terrific results!
Loose skin continues to be an issue with me, but I am targeting the problem spots and the extra exercise seems to help with the muscle tone and skin elasticity. Any way you slice it, I look better and feel 10 times better than before WLS.
Before surgery, I was wearing size 28/30's or 3X/4X. Now, I am wearing anything between 14 and 20, depending on the cut, and L/XL, again....depending on the cut. Oh! I can wear some things in Medium too! That's a hoot!
My shoe size has dropped from 11 to 9 1/2. That's been the biggest surprise of all!
Good luck to you!

Happy 9 months! I can't believe it was that long ago in some ways, but in others I feel like I never even had it!!!
I'm doing well. I seem to have fallen off the exercise wheel, but I know I'll get back up on it soon... I've been having trouble with ENERGY... Part of it I know is because I wasn't getting in nearly enough protein in the last month or so, but I'm back on track there. I feel like I could sleep for a year no matter what time of day.
I have 16 more days until I graduate from college, so of course that's my big focus right now- making it through the next couple of weeks, then I'll be able to focus more on my body.
I have lost 100 pounds, wearing a roomy (not quite loose yet) size 10 pants, medium tops... I used to wear 2X-3X. I'm 17 pounds from the goal I want to hit before plastic surgery (unless we decide to have another baby... not sure yet about that, totally scared to gain weight!). I figure plastic surgery will take off another 10-15 pounds putting me right where I'd want to be... around 130 (I'm 5'6").
I can eat anything I want, but mostly the only thing I cheat with is some crackers or baked chips... sometimes I'll eat some trail mix stuff (without the m&m's). I've been really going through a salt craving thing lately.
Would love for the scale to get moving again... it took me forever to hit the century mark, and now it won't move again- I think it's been 2+ weeks so far. I need to get more exercise and drink more water (yet again!).
Glad you're all doing so well!!!! Keep up the good work and the positive attitude!
Lots of love,
Dawn

Great news about your weight loss, Tracey!
I went through the surgery to repair a prolapsed uterus about 14 years ago. It was a horrible surgery---and an awfully painful recovery. However, the good news is that two years ago, I had a full hysterectomy, and it was the BEST surgery I ever had! Hardly any pain at all....and I cannot believe how good I have felt since!
Hopefully you'll have as pleasant an experience as I did. The doctor took my ovaries also, so I now take Premarin every day. I feel absolutely fantastic. No hot flashes. No mood swings. No pain!
Good luck to you in all your efforts, weight loss and otherwise!

Topic: RE: Sunflower seeds?
No problem with sunflower seeds here. But instead of eating them plain, out of the package, I sprinkle them on salads. They are so yummy!
I don't think that they are bad for us in any way----in moderation, as with anything we eat, of course.
