Topic: RE: 8 months post op & frustrated!
You're definitely not alone on this one Tracy. I had my surgery 8/30 and down 105 thus far. This week the scale wasn't kind to me. No loss, just stalling. I'm hungry more often and just getting so frustrated about it. I haven't gained weight, but I can see it coming at some point. This last week I've been eating more, and at times have been eating too fast that I get nauseous and my tummy hurts. This is something I shouldn't be going through almost 9 months out, only rookies that are out a few months get nauseous! But, I'm worried about stretching it or overdoing it, but I think it's just me being frustrated at having to double think things and constantly ask myself "have i eaten too much?", "should i eat this or not?", "im hungry AGAIN?!" It gets me frustrated because i know these are questions we battled with early on, and shouldnt be worried about now. I think its the overal a frustration stage because things are finally as normal as they will be and we're so used to it being a restrictive lifestyle thus far. That we are now getting somewhat comfortable with our food choices may be a reason that we automatically are getting paranoid and just see ourselves are eating too much, etc. I definitely don't plan on ignoring my paranoia. I am very much worried about stretching my pouch and have been making very bad choices in my intake. I'm embracing my paranoia! lol.. This weekend I pretty much got mad at myself for not being as cautious of what I eat and eating too much. I plan on exercising more to not have this wondering mentality of "if i only had exercised...i would have lost more"...also taking my water and sticking to the basics as much as possible. I recommend we all do. Even if our appetite is a little bigger, as long as we stick to the healthier choices, we can just ride this out and see if our body responds to it and see the outcome. Cmon, we've kept sane (or as close to it) thus far, let's just stick to the basics and not sabotage our progress thus far. 80,90,100 lbs lost in 9months...!!! If that's not an accomplishment, what the heck is!!! ...

Topic: So.Cal OH Event - Craig Park 5/21/05
Here's the info posted on the Cali Board 2nd Annual Southern California Gathering at Craig Park *Saturday, May 21st *10:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. *Contact Sheryl at [email protected] for an evite. This will be a very large event, so we need to have RSVPs, so we will have an idea of how many will be in attendance. The event is a potluck. More information will be provided on your evite and on the message board. *Paper plates, plastic utensils, and cups will be provided. There will also be ice water, ice tea, and Gatorade. A grill will also be available, please bring briquettes and whatever you would like to BBQ. *Please bring chairs, drinks other than the above, and serving utensils, and activities. If you have an easy-up shelter please bring it. PLEASE DO NOT BRING ALCOHOL. It is strictly forbidden in the park and this is an alcohol-free family event. *There will be a protein powder/bar exchange so bring the powders and bars that you have tried and don't like. Also, there will be a clothing exchange so bring clothes that no longer fit you (please follow the instructions on the evite). You may also bring supplements that you no longer use as long as they have not expired. Directions to Craig Park *Craig Park is an Orange County Regional Park located in both Brea and Fullerton. The park is accessible off of the 57 Fwy. *Make your way to the 57 Fwy. From the 210, 10, or 60, you will head south on the 57. From the 91, you will head north on the 57. *Take the Imperial Highway exit. *Once you exit at Imperial Highway, you have two choices: You can pay the $5.00 fee to drive into the park or you can park for free outside and walk about 2 blocks into the park (you will need to walk quite a ways down a moderately steep hill and then up a moderately steep hill). *To pay and enter the park, proceed west on Imperial Highway and turn left at the first street (State College). The park entrance is located approximately one block south on State College on your left hand side. Once you are in the park, follow the posted signs that say "OH." We will be located at shelter #2, which is up on the hill. Parking near our picnic spot is limited and will probably be full by 11:00 a.m. After that, you will need to park in available parking further away and walk to where we are. *To park for free and walk into the park you will head east on Imperial Highway. If you are coming from the north, this would be a left turn coming off of the freeway on Imperial Highway. Coming from the south, you would turn right off of the freeway on Imperial Highway. Make a right on the first street (Associated Road). A short ways down, you will see a strawberry/vegetable field on your left, continue past this to Rolling Hills Dr. and turn left. Park some where along this street (where it is legal). Walk back down to Associated and turn right. There is a pathway that leads into the park directly across from the entrance to the Park Ridge Condos. You will head down the hill towards the playground. Then up to the top of the big hill. Our shelter (#2) is located on the top of the hill in the center of the park, near the big playground. Hope to see you there!

Tell me I inherited bat wings from my Moms side they all have them. I have always wore shirts that come down to my elbow. I just bought wrist wieghts going to start puting them on first thing in the mornings (another new habbit). If that doesn't help I am going just smile and just say I can live with this since the rest looks so Dam good. Saralan
