I still have 25LBS. to go to be normal. I have a feeling I will never be normal. My weight loss has slowed so much.

Topic: RE: another HAIR question
Hello, I have not personally had any hair loss (thank you Jesus) but, I have read several post and was also told by my nutristionist that Biotin is recommended for hair loss. For extreme cases you are to take 2500 mg per day. Hope this helps.

I just wanted to say i feel your pain. My doc said a normal person will lose around 100 hairs a day. I keep this in mind. Anyway my hair started getting really dry and brittle feeling. I found a new cream that is awesome and within a few days no more dry hair and you can use it everyday. It is by Neutrogena and is called Triple Moisture. It is basically a silk touch leave-in cream. You just wash your hair then put a thin coat on and it does wonders. Good luck to you. Oh and the hair does come back about 2 months ago I started feeling around my head and found little baby sprigs all over.

Lisa, I feel your pain.
I've always felt my hair was one of my best features as well. I feel like I'm almost bald.
I really wi**** would stop. I read a while back that the hairloss cycle usually lasted 100 days more or less. Well, mine's been coming out by the handfuls since Christmas. I too got my hair cut thinking that would at least make it look a little fuller. Wrong. Nothing has helped. My endocrinologist tells me it will eventually stop and WILL grow back in. I sure hope it's sooner rather than later or I really will be bald. The only thing good about it is that my hair only takes about a minute to blow dry now. I don't have an answer, just wanted you to know you're not alone.
Hugs, Barb

WOW!!! Thats great, I can't wait to be normal, but at least I am not obese anymore, just overweight. WOOOO HOOOOO My silly father- in-law says that I will never be normal, he means (normal in the head) LOL he is just kidding. I wear a size 8 and mediums too, but I am short . Glad you are having a great week, but just think, it's not just a great week its a great rest of your life. Take care and God bless, Lisa
Topic: another HAIR question
Hi All
My Hair has always been my best feature and always got globs of comments and attention. It has always been silky, THINK, straight and long. Now it is so thin and fail and dry and feels like straw.......
I cut it in hope that having some of the weight off woul dlessen the hair loss. I have put my pretty barretts away wear it straight and cuase I am concerned that they weight to much and tear the fine hair I do have left.
I am told the hair loss will end.
So my questions is.....
Have any of you had significant hair loss?
When does the hair loss stop?
What can you do to help it look and feel better?
DOES it grow back?
How long before it does grow back?
Any help would be great.
Lisa.... ( no longer Repunzalle!

Topic: RE: 8/30 - weigh-in
Hay Pat and everyone else.
You all seem to be doing a GREAT JOB!
I am loosing about 2 pounds a month not a week! for a total of 59 so far. that is still 45 from goal. My MD told me that I will probably stop loosing weight and that only a few actually make the "goal weight loss" and that a 60 -- 80 % loss is considerd a success.
Someone said they are afraid of drinking more water because of bloating.. it is actually the other way around esp. as summer comes. staying hydrated helps flush out our bodies.
Norma... I started seeing a Shrink as well. I am so frustrated with the changes INSIDE this body. It feels alien.... pain ( daily from ulcer) sagging skin.... noisey gassy pouch..... a pulsating belly button ( caause I am thinner they (MD) say and Smile of course that was AFTER they thought anyourisism) I am also feeling ovewhelemed making food choises ..so many foods cause pain with the ulcer....other that take good are high calorie..... It also seems that so much of my day is about food.....what and when to eat. Ina agroup I go to another lady also talked about this anxiety with food, and hating our fridges.
At 6 months out I had thought I would be seeing the light at the end of this tunnell..... but now as the 9th month passes and they are talking about a third surgery..... Hoping at the one year mark I will come back here and read this and smile.
HANG in there. WE can get through this. Please be honest with your therapist. That is the only way he/she will be able to help
