Hey Laura, I wish I knew more about what you're going through, but I don't. I'm just glad you're being seen by a Dr. and they're working on it. We will all keep you in our thoughts and prayers and hope everything works out! Keep us informed no matter what! Lots of love, Dawn 257/156/140

Wow Kathryn, you're my hero! I wish you lived closer and could kick my butt into gear! I was working out 5-6X/week, but kind of "fell off the wagon" about 6 weeks ago and haven't worked out a bit. Before that I found that I was losing inches a lot faster than weight though. The cool thing is that the more muscle you build, the higher your metabolism will be, the more weight you will lose. I think for awhile, working out will slow weight loss (b/c you're replacing fat with muscle and muscle weighs more), but eventually your body will kick into gear and you'll lose the stores of fat just to keep your muscles going! My mom and sister-in-law both were heavy and got into running (like marathon running). Now they both can eat whatever they want and don't gain a pound. It took awhile for them to lose the weight, but when they did they replaced it with lean muscles and look great! I think as long as you concentrate on weight lifting and a good cardio like running, you'll be doing great! Thanks for keeping us up to date on you, and making me feel guilty enough for not working out that I actually want to work out now!!!! Lots of love, Dawn (Keep up the good work!)

Size 18?!?!?? Sounds awesome to me! I am finally able to get my fat @$$ into a pair of 32 jeans. My top is usually between a 22/24 or 26/28. Some people don't even start out that big! I am just happy to be able to shop at places like Avenue and Fashion Bug and Lane Bryant. While I'm happy about this, others are happy they don't have to shop there anymore. Until recently, I had to buy my clothes from catalogs. But now I can shop at the "regular big-girl" stores!!! LOL Keep up the good work! *~Amber~*

Amber, You look amazing - congratulations!! Like Patty, I am also an August 24th girl. I am down 114lbs from surgery, but closer to 150 from my highest weight. I still have a long way to go - probably another 80 lbs - but I am getting there! Good luck to everyone Jen
