I had my surgery on August 9, 2004. I weighed 496lbs the day of surgery. I now weigh 314 lbs. I can't lose any more. I have severe knee, hip and back problems that stop me from exercising. I don't eat alot but more than I did right after surgery. I know I need to get back to basics. Did anyone start out over 400lbs, close to 500lbs and get at about 150lbs to 180lbs. Please write me and let me know.

Kristina , I was a lightweight but I just want to tell you I think you've had HUGE success. I know with having knee, hip and back problems still, you'd be feeling disappointed, but look how far you've come! Look at Amy Williams and dame Tooter's profiles for inspiration. Maybe your support group or WLS surgeon could recommend a physical therapist for you to get an excercize program that you could benefit from? Good luck to you! Hugs, barb

Kristina, you've lost so much, and yet you are feeling unsuccessful. Don't forget, this board is only a small sample of the people that post at Obesity Help. Maybe one of the other message boards would be more helpful. I hope you find the support you need. Wishing you ongoing success.
