Hi all, I gained five pounds over the holiday. I'm getting back on track but it made me start thinking about the rest of the holiday season. Does anyone have any strategies for coming into the new year either at current weight or below? Any suggestions would be helpful. Also how are you all doing? Do you think you are adjusting well to your new self? Are those around you adjusting well to the new you? K.

Agh! I did too! However, I have been really watching myself since Monday---and drinking lots of green tea. I like the "3 Ballerina" brand of Chinese dieter's tea. You can pick up a box at any Chinese grocery store or food market. One of the things that I have GOT to get back doing is exercising. I have every excuse in the book not to go to Curves for my 3-times-a-week workouts, but the only person I'm hurting is myself. I am about 25 pounds away from my doctor's goal for me, but I would be happy to just stay here and not gain any more weight. That is going to be harder than I had anticipated, I guess. Good luck to you! ~Laura

I gained five pounds as well. I wonder if that's the amount of sodium in a portion of turkey w/ dressing and gravy and the water we gained with it? I'm pretty much back on track now and down to my pre-Thanksgiving weight again. I still get shocked when I go shopping. Unfortunately, I'm blown away when I fit into a small or a size 6-8. I think I need to buy everything that fits. I hope I haven't traded one obsession for another. Best of luck to all of us during the holidays & keep up those workouts! Hugs, barb

Thanks for the encouragement. I have lost the five pounds I gained as of today. I seem to gain when I get off schedule. I am hopefull for the future. Take care K.
