I'm currently looking into Plastic surgery and just want to know whom is planning on doing it, what their insurance is covering, and what type of insurance you currently have. Have you already gone to your first consult with a PS surgeon? Let us know how it went, what they asked/told you, etc. Share the PS knowledge Adios! Norma 255/130

Hi Norma... I have had 3 consults and because I have no medical reasons for it to be covered... mine is ranging from 10 k - 16k depending on the doctor... I am talked to them about an extended tummy tuck and lip and breast lift no implants I still have a lot of fullness just want the girls lifted and put back where they are suppose to be.... I am now looking into going to mexico... there are several doctors there that will do it for less... same thing for 6k... so I am seriously considering it... I went shopping today and bought a size 6 pants but if I didnt have all this hanging skin I would probably be in a 0 or 2 but its all this hanging skin.... Good luck and make sure you find a ps that you are comfortable with... one of the ones I interviewed I knew right away I did not want him... didnt like his bedside manners..... Hi Norma. I really don't have many skin issues as far as chaffing or rashes so have no reason to expect our insurance would cover it. We have a ps exclusion anyway with BC/BS of Missouri. They wouldn't cover my WLS so I doubt they'd cover anything to do with plastics even if I did have problems. I had a neck/face lift and pre-lbl lift debulking in August. I think the bill was about $19,00.00. I will be having my second round ( breast-lift w/o implants and brachiotomy-armlift) at the end of January, and a lower body lift sometime in the spring. These will be another $19,000.00. I'm 54 so my skin is most likely not as elastic as you younger girls and my face was my biggest issue. I looked SO haggard after the 130 lb. weightloss. I could keep my body covered w/ clothes but there was nothing I could do about my face so they did that first. I'm pretty happy with the results. If you'd like to see pictures you can go to 'picturetrail-nanabb-plastic surgery album-my password is ps. I haven't posted any px in the last month or so but my face is healing more and more each month. Almost all the numbness is gone as well as bruising. The liposuction to my midrift and back ares was slower to heal and much more painful than the facelift OR weightloss surgery. Best~barb
