Hello... I am planning on doing mine in Dec. also... having a breast lift no implants and a tummy tuck....
I have talked to 3 different plastic surgeons and I have narrowed it down to 2 but I am going to have another consultation with them soon.. so I can make my final decision....
Is your insurance paying for it????
I am taking out a loan to pay for mine... one dr. is 10k and the other is 16k but with a lot of lipo around the waits part....
Good luck

Hi,
My insurance is paying for the tummy tuck, I am paying for the arm lift on my own.
I am listening and reading stories of recovery. All of them are different. My recovery from WLS was a breeze... RNY, home in a day, back to work by day 7...
I am more fearful of this surgery tho, and the recovery time. I have become so active and hate the thought of being down for 3-6wks, and little movement... yet the drooping skin is overwhelming! I hope I get past the fear...
Have you heard stories of not being able to lift your arms, move, get up from chairs, even wipe yourself?
Hi Maureen
I am right now in the process of finding a good plastic surgeon for my tummy tuck. I wasn't going to do it until now, i am having major pain in my lower back and hips. The doc says the skin has to go, it's pushing on nerves and hurting me. What i really want done is my neck and arms, but of course my legs are awful and my butt is sagging and so are my boobs. It's a scary thing, but no matter how bad it looks now, it's way better than what it was before wls.
Hugs

i just had a TT two weeks ago. i'm going on my 3rd week of medical leave and should be ready to go back by the end of the week. - then again i work from home so it's much easier for me. i'm not in too much pain as i am sore or just uncomfortable. i think the binder is REALLY annoying and ITCHY as hell so i'm looking foward to not having to wear it anymore by the end of next month. i'd say the yuckiest part of your recovery is your time with the drains. they SUCK! and you'd be amazed at how much better you feel the minute they take em out.
i am scheduling a breast reduction and lift (no implant) the first week of january. i'm hoping to have insurance pay for an inner thigh lift (hopefully the beginning of march). these are all procedures my insurance is paying for. i am also considering a circumfrential (sp?) lift (butt lift) and arm lift but not really sure if i want to put my body through all that drama just yet. i do have major skin issues i'll just take it one surgery at a time...
good luck to you maureen! you'll do just fine!
Tummy, *THIGHS* and *BOOBIES* (Those girls are headed so far south, they are in a different ZIP CODE than the rest of me!) You KNOW when they are resting on your KNEES that you have to have something done! *AND* I am the same weight as I was when I was 25, BUT my bra size is maybe FOUR cups bigger, just for all the extra skin! The band size is nice (36 or 38, depending on the bra) but still those BIG old cups because
of all the extra flesh. The thighs really need to be done too, and the belly. The flabby arms I could deal with, They don't rub or itch or change the way clothes fit. My pants are weird. The waist is OK, but the butt and belly are always tight and I look like I have another butt in the FRONT! So I have to try on a MILLION pairs of pants before I can find one that fits. Ick.
I am going to consult in Jan, hopefully arrange financing, and TRY to have the surgery in May or June while my boys are away. I have a wedding up north in September, a trip to meet up with some bulletin board friends in October and a cruise in April. So, after April, but BEFORE September.
Let's see what happens . . .
