Poll:Are you still losing?
Hello August babies! I wanted to find out who is still losing. I am slowing down a great deal. But it is ok with me because I am only 5 pounds from goal. I need to start working out big time.......................than I am sure the last five will fall off easily. How are you all doing?

Great question! I am still 25-35 lbs from goal (very happy where I am but still wanting to keep going). I had a big loss around month 11, and lost nine pounds in four weeks. Then - nothing. I stood still for about six weeks, and in the past two weeks, I've lost four pounds.
What's funny about this is that I haven't exercised for two weeks!
My body does that - it will lose after an exercise break. I generally work out 5-7 times per week, so this is a big shock to my system not to exercise. But my mother has been hospitalized, and while I have technically had the time to exercise, I have chosen to rest instead. Not the best logic but it's been a stressful time so I've given myself a break.
I'll start back up soon, but it has been nice to see a change on the scale! I find that my body does what it wants as far as pound loss (and yes, I'm still losing inches), no matter how much I exercise or how well I eat. And I do eat well, and take my vitamins, and drink my water. I dump on excess sugar but I allow myself treats occasionally.
So there's the long answer - yes, I'm still losing, albeit slowly. I'll take it though!

Yes, I am still losing. Good thing too, because I want to get to my goal of 160 by the end of the year. That's about 23 pounds away.
In recent months, I have slowed down on the exercise (Curves), and I really need to get back in there. I always feel so good when I am working out regularly.
Finally though, I am in a size 12 jeans, which was my sexy, high school size. They're tight...but I look pretty good. I would by happy to stay where I am now, but I will be SO MUCH happier to make my goal of 160.

Hi all
I have just started losing again after going from 162- 166 for 8 weeks...I am now 160. I still would like to get to my own goal of 150 before it completly stops......
I am also thinking of trying to have another baby within the next few months.....I really want to get to at least 150 or lower before we do that...I am so afraid to get over 200 again, I want to give myself enough room so that won't happen.
But that is still a little while away.

You look great. I just started losing again. I know why I slowed down so much though, basically because I stopped following the rules. I have now started drinking my water again, drinking my protein shakes again, eating protein first, with very little carbs again and exercising again. I lost about 7 lbs. in a week just from going back to basics.

I have maintained at 120 for about three months. This is 8 lbs below my goal.
However, I have not been feeling well for the past few days; a lot of pain in the pouch area and chest, radiating to my back. I am going through testing to detremine the cause (it is most likely my ulcer or gallbladder) so due to this I haven't been eating all that much.
So...even though I was maintained for so long at 120, I did just lose a few pounds. I am going between 115-119 at this point. I really do NOT want to go lower than 120 so hopefully when I am feeling better I will stabilize.

I haven't lost a pound since the 3rd week of August! I seem to be bouncing from 137-140...would love to see 130 but I have to admit...I'm not eating the best...and snack a fair amount and well...I don't exercise. I just don't have time between work and school. I also have quite a bit of skin that isn't helping with the weight issues...ug I feel like I'm 160+ with all this frickin skin. I can't wait until 12/6 when I have my PS consult so he can tell me just what is skin vs fat and what is possible to loose. I won't actually be having the PS yet...I want kids first. So...4 more weeks of TB meds and I can ttc! YEA!

I have stayed the same for a while now. I am really at goal but would like to lose 5 more so I can say that I have lost 100lbs. I can't believe I can get my butt into a size 4 jeans. I haven't worn jeans in years cause I didn't want to buy the big sizes. So now that is all I want to wear. I am even wearing low riders. Wow, If someone had told me that I would be wearing them a year ago, I would have thought they were crazy!!!
I had been down to 132... just 12 pounds from goal.. but this week went back up to 140 !!!!!!!!!! and I have been Good with my diet and exersize three times a week. and that does not include the exersizes I need to do for my neck and shoulders. I am using www.FITDAY.COM and on most days have been eating 850 calories a day.
My MD started me on a new med for my diabeties and I think that might be the problem. I am going to watrch this real close for the next week and then SCREM if the scales go back up. I really want to be at 120 by Nov.12th I have a military ball to go to and I need to fit into the dress I bought. It is a size 12,(Vera Wang!) and had fit very nicely a few months ago. Then was a bit to big in the chest area and I had to have it taken in. There is not enough time to get more alterations done, or get a new dress. The other day I did see a nice coctail dress in a size 8 and it fit me like a glove right off the rack! But the event is black tie formal, so no short dresses. My hubby is an officer so I need to be dressed accordinally, and the dress I had been planning on wearing is PERFECT.
So I guess I am going to cut back on the calories and add an extra walk a few times a week if I can find the time. I was in tears this AM when I saw the scale. My MD is lucky she is out of the office till Monday. But Not so lucky that I have an appointment with her then!
