Haircuts
I just have to know, how many of us out there has went a completely different way with our hair since surgery.
This weekend I colored mine to a medium dark auburn and just an hour ago went and had it cut VERY short.
AND I LOVE IT!!!! It looks very good with the "new" face.
Can't wait to see how many of us did something extreme to our looks after the weightloss.

I cut mine for a different reason, but did it nonetheless. I have a friend that is HORRIBLE about standing people up, but he really liked my long hair. He was supposed to come over for Memorial Day. I cooked all day (BBQ ribs, beans, cole slaw, pie, etc.) and couldn't eat very much myself, of course. I told him if he stood me up again, I was going to cut all my hair off. Well, guess what? After cooking ALL DAY, he stood me up. Wednesday, 6/1, I went into the salon and had them take clippers to my head. I ended up framing an "after" picture of my head at the salon and giving it to him to remind him.
I don't really care either way, I just need a hairstyle that's easy to take care of. I hate messing with hair. In fact, I just got it cut the day before yesterday again and basically just had it buzzed. I don't use gel any more because I hate having to mess with it.
It was actually something I always thought of doing, but finally did it when my hair was falling out. I had been keeping my hair REALLY long for several years becasue I was donating ponytails to "Locks For Love" every other year or so. But, post op, my ponytails were so *THIN* and frazzled looking I was embarrassed to donate them! So I kept getting it trimmed a bit more each time I brought my boys in for a haircut! Now it is about ear length and layerd. The layers REALLY help. I never do anything too outrageous with the color. I may vary between a soft black mixed with auburn (very close to my own color) to maybe a reddish brown, but that's it. My before and afrer pictures pretty much say it all. I am thinking of going back to EXTREME short, but maybe next summer. Want to know what the *REAL* reason is for keeping me back? You'll think I'm NUTS! I have about $500.00 worht of hair accessories in my drawer: beautiful clips, wraps, ties, pins, hairsticks, tiaras, you name it! At about $8 - $10 a pop, it really adds up. And also, they make me feel so feminine to have decoration, etc in my hair. I don't know. It's going to take a lot to wean me out of the "fix my hair" stage! LOL!
