I wish I was doing as good as the rest of you!
I haven't been on the message board for several months now and when I got on today it discouraged me which I knew it would. You see I was doing great at first and lost about 75 lbs the first 7 months and then NOTHING! I haven't lost anything in the past 6 months. Not a thing. As a matter of fact, I go up and down about 6 lbs constantly.
Am I done? Is this as good as it gets for me?
I have about another 50 lbs to go and I just don't see it happening at this point.
I eat no sugar. I try to eat lots of protein, although I don't get in what I should every day. My worst thing is, I know, that I am lazy and don't exersice like I should. I'll do it for a while and then quit and then it takes me a while to get started again. I do a lot of physical work during the day and I am ALWAYS tired. I have been tired ever since I had this surgery. I am a little anemic most of the time but I can't understand why I'm so tired all the time. I have missed so much work this past year because I am just wore out.
Any suggestion?
Thanks
Kim

Hi kim,
See your MD and ask about thyroid testing as well as Vit B 12 injrctions. Both of your symptoms could be related to either thyroid or B-12.. I started both Synthriod and B 12 injections and this has helped me. BTY. all of my blood work in those areas were OK. on the LOW SIDE but within normal ranges. My MD said that sometimes the low normals still need treatment.( for some)
Just a thought.
ALso the weight, loss is an 18 month process so don't give up
No energy huh? Have you had your labs done recently? I would have your thyroid checked along with your B1 and B12 levels. Also get your iron levels checked.
Try not to fret too much over the numbers on the scale...once you get the fatigue squared away try bumping up the exercise. Good luck and don't give up!

I'm pretty much in the same boat hon.....I am in the process of getting all those items checked. I personally think that my thyroid is out of wack! But we will soon find out. Don't be discouraged, and I wont either. I miss alot of work as well. Most of the time it's just because I so darned pooped out. Go see your doc. And hang in there. I only lost 80 and as of lately keep gaining a pound or two here and there. I hope I come to some kind of conclusion after I see doc.
Hey Kim,
Same or me. I know I have a thyroid condition. Plus am doing menapuase. I have had about four durgeries..a couple before my RNY.... another after. My life is one big stresser. Well, I am checking with certain doctors to try and see whats going on. For months I have not been able to lose any more. I too have about 50 more pounds. People including my pastor tell me how good I look. But secretly I am frustrated. Plus for some reason I crave starch..like french fries. What am I missing in my vitamins that is doing me in. I am not pregnant as one of my surgeries was a total hysterectomy.
I would welcome anyone e-mailing me as well. I too have not been on the board in for ever. Too busy trying to keep my medicaly challenged children a float.
I am off to a psychiatric appt. I know at this point I need help that way as well.
Kim..THANK YOU SO MUCH for sharing!
