HELLO FELLOW AUGUST 16THERS!!! IT HAS BEEN A WHILE FOR ME HERE BUT TODAY BEING THREE DAYS FROM THE ONE YEAR ANNIVERSARY I HIT MY -100 LB GOAL. DAY OF SURGERY AN UNCOMFORTABLE 271, TODAY A FIT, HEALTHY 171!!! BREAST LIFT AND TUMMY TUCK SCHEDULED FOR DEC. 27!!!! I am so envious. When I started this journey, I said I would not have plastic surgery. It would be just another surgery under anesthesia to worry about and I was not going to have it. Now, one year (on the 27th anyway) later I see I need it & can't have it. My insurance says absolutely no plastic surgery. I can not self pay. But I have not given up hope. After all, my company changes insurance companies every year it seems. Trying to get the lowest rate for us. So who knows, maybe we'll get an insurance that will pay. Meanwhile, I'll just be happy for you & your success. Hang in there. PS I lost 108 lbs.

Hi Jacque, I was glad to see your post. You were the first person I ever talked to on the message board when I started this journey and we shared the same surgery date. Congratulations on your success and hope to see you on the WLS grad board after the 16th! Sandy

Congrats Jacque!!!!! Just hit the century mark myself so I understand the feeling. We also have the same anniversary date. I am still losing slowly but surely, so I'm going to wait to have the surgery. Much luv. Barbara 296/195 8/16/05
