Week of 8/3 people
How are you doing? Wow...hard to imagine that we're already 11 months post op. Things are going good for me...I'm only 2 lbs from goal and feeling good. I have decided that DH and I are going to ttc (trying to concieve) again...this is my last week on the patch. I'm pretty stable now and almost at goal so we're ready...afterall...we've been trying for nearly 9 years now. I've gone from a size 26 to a solid 8...sometimes a 6 in pants and from a 3x in shirts to a M. I have lost 112 lbs going from 254 to 142 and mostly I'm proud of the fact that my diabetes, hypertension & sleep apnea are GONE!
SO...how are all you doing?

Hi Kristy,
My weight loss has taken a detour in the last 2 weeks, but I think it is because I was on vacation and retained a lot of fluid. MY RNY was 8-2. I've gone from 355 to 194. I've lost 20 inches each on my hips and on my waist. I just bought pants today in size 16, which thrilled me. I started out wearing tight size 38 pants. I also bought size medium t-shirts. (Obvously, I'm a pear! I'd like to lose between 20 and 40 more pounds, which might not make me a skinny-mini, but it sure sounds good to me!

Hello! I know, a year! Wild - my mind is still catching up with my body...
I started out 310, now 186 - down 124.
Began in size 28 jeans and wearing 16 now. (I can wear L and XL clothes!)
Folks say I don't look like I am as heavy as I am.... I have been bodybuilding (weightlifting to gain muscle) HARDCORE for about 5 months now. I am filling skin out with heavier muscle. I haven't been doing any cardio type work since I started the lifting program - all my calories are meant to build muscle tissue... I am still losing - pretty slow, but I know ANYTHING I lose is straight fat.
I am feeling good, looking terrific and people have been great fun as I have re-emerged....

I am doing real good. I can't believe it has been almost a year since the surgery! Times sure flies..........I have lost a total of 120 pounds so far...I am not at my goal yet, but I hope to be by the end of the year. I started out at around 286 and am now down to around 160. I have about 20 more pounds to go before I hit my goal. My co-workers and friends have been wonderful through this whole process with encourgement and compliments! My husband can't believe the change in me! I am pretty sure he likes the new me! I will like the new me much better when I can get all the excess skin taken care of! Hate it! My co-morbidities of high blood pressure, diabetes, PCOS and depression are all under control. My back has starting hurting because of the excess weight/skin, but other than that, I am doing great. I have more energy and I do get a VitB shot every month. I can tell when I need another shot, as I get tired easliy and have less energy and I get sleepy at work. I go back to see my surgeon on August 5 for my one year check up and blood work. I do walk my mile on the days that I don't go to Curves.
All in all, I am doing great....I wish everyone the best!
