Bouncing up the scale and feeling dizzy
Sounds like a 50s song.
I went on vacation last week (the first major one since the surgery) and ate horrible. I had ice cream, and mostly carb foods. And I will admit skipped the vitamins
Since I have been home, I have not wanted to eat protein food and have been craving carbs. Well tonight I woke up with bed spins and feeling ill. I think it is due to the lack of vitamins (I just took them) and the lack of protein (I drank a cup of carb countdown milk).
I guess I forgot that I am not a normal person. I may look normal on the outside, but inside I still have to take vitamins, eat my 60+ grams of protein, exercise, and keep the carbs low.
I stepped on the scale and have gained 3 lbs since I left for vacation. Have any of you just went crazy lately? I am having a case of the guilts.
Take care

Hi Alicia,
For weeks I was staying at 144...... and the Blammo I lost 5 pounds in a day! (last weekend) then last night I was up by 4! This is the first time I have gained weight, but I think it has a lot to do with the humidity and heat here.
As for treating myself... YEAP, but I did not go overboard. I hate taking the vitiams ... and have always had a hard time with eating protiens. The bed spins may have been from a high blood glucose level. ( carb overload)
Try to let the GUILTS stay in yesturday... TODAY is a new day and all you can do is start from here.
So put that CarbCount down in a blender with some ICE and pretend it is a milkshake!

Hi Alicia,
I just got back from a trip to Alaska, where I ate lots of great tasting, but high carb foods. I have not yet eaten any sugary foods, but I had plenty of other carbs. I was dismayed to have the scale read 4 pounds heavier than when I left. Yuk.
You are right. We need to get back to the protein and forget that carbs even exist! I don't know about you, but I need to get back to the gym, too!
We'll be back on track in no time!!

Hi Alicia!
Yes, I have a bad case of the guilts, too!
Yep, I am in the same boat....ugh! I have been eating too many carbs and I have the worst gas from it! I just might as well confess............I have not been taking my vitamins as I should and I have a hard time getting my calcium down....it is really a job. I have been struggling with excercise....I have to make myself leave the house.
And I know that my weight has been creeping back in me. I was at 168 now I am back to 171......not cool. I also realize that I am not as toned as I was a month ago......so I need to get back to a good exercise routine.....I have started back on the protein train And I have cut down on the carb-loved foods! It's hard.....but.....I will do it!
Have a great day!
Bernice.............
Thanks for the support. I am still on the carb-oholic thing, but I am a bit better. The scale has calmed down a bit, but I am still not at my lowest. I am sure if I started back with the exercise and fresh food and protein, I would be back on track. I think that is why I feel like crap lately. I eat junk and don't exercise.
I am going to try to do better tomorrow.
Take care
Alicia
