Hi everyone!!!! I hope you all are enjoying your huge new life being a smaller person. It amazes me when I walk past a mirror and see my reflection, I have to take a double take because I can not believe it is me. I was shopping with my sister one day last week and we separated. She said she began to look for me, and couldn't find me, yet she was looking right at me.....lol Even though I had a signifigant weight loss, I still see myself as me. This is a good thing, in one way, but in another I can see why one could be anorexic. Even though I know I lost alot of weight, and have the scale and smaller clothes size to prove it, sometimes I still feel like a super obese person. One day I can look in the mirror and be amazed at the size I am now, yet the next day I look, I can and sometimes do feel like the super obese person I was. It is amazing the tricks your mind can play on you. I am happy to report I had a 4 pound loss this week, and discovered a few more bones I never knew I had....lol As of this week, I am down 110 pounds. I have a suggestion to make. For our 10th month anniversary, along with posting our weight loss, how about we add our inches we lost to date, the sizes we came from and are in now, and the percentage we lost. Along with this we can include our starting weight and the weight we are to date. We can also include our personal goals. I don't feel a goal given to us by a medical professional is a good thing, they go by charts, our own personal goals go by the way we look and feel. I wish you all much success this week, and look forward to seeing the accomplishments of each and everyone of us next week. SusanWNY 300/190

Susan, Glad to hear you are doing so well! Keep up the good work! I think it is a great idea for our ten month anniversary to do a complete update. Thanks for posting! --Marianne 256/144/140-goal 120-dream

You have done great. I have not lost any weight for 2 & 1/2 months now. Lost 80 pounds and have ben stuck ever since. I even joined a gym and started working out and have not lost another oz. I have to face that this may be it for me. I wanted to loss another 60 pounds. But I'll never get there with plateau's like this. But I will still try. Tammy

dont despair Tammy. I did the same thing. I joined the gym when my weightloss stalled for a couple of months. It took me awhile for the weightloss to start up again. Your body goes through periods of adjustments. When you start working out you are building muscle and they weigh more than fat, but you will see a loss again. Are you still losing inches?? I am only losing about 5 lbs a month at this point.. but hey.. I will take anything... Good luck... Sondra

Good job Susan. : Ditto on your thoughts about this amazing tool. Sometimes it feels like a long time since I've had this surgery and other times I want to pinch myself to make sure this isn't a dream and I'll wake up to find it hasn't happened at all. This has been such an 'a-ha' week for me. Even though the losing has slowed considerably, the inches are still coming off quickly. I guess our bodies really do need to catch up. I practically skipped a size 12 altogether and went from a size 14 to a size 10. My husband and I have been doing so much fun stuff that I NEVER would have attempted before........ I've taken up golf, we bicycle at least 1 day a week, & I'm going to do a half marithon this fall with my daughter, niece and sister-in-law this fall. I used to hate exercize and sweating. Now I love it. Life is good! I applaud 'us' all barb 276/158
