Slow loser but content

I have to say, I havent lost nearly as much as most of you have. I am down 88 lbs which puts me at 221 and in a comfy size 18. I would surely like to lose at least 40 more lbs or get to a size 14. Unfortunately I have not been following a regular exercise plan and don't always make the best food choices. I haven't gone back to my pre-op habits, but find it hard to get all the protien I need. I love my fruits and veggies and if it's handy that's what I prefer. Any way I am so happy I had this surgery. I have never in my entire life been thin nor do I expect to be. I simply want to be healthy. I have only one regret and that is that I didn't get the surgery sooner. Even at 221 I am very content and if the weight loss stopped now I would still be happy. I may not be skinny or thin but my health has dramatically improved and I feel so much better about myself. My husband loves what he sees and that makes me feel good. I thank Dr. Tom and all his staff at Surgery specialists of green bay for giving me a new and happy life. I wish all of my AMOS family the best of luck and all the happiness you can handle. As always, LOVEY

Yolanda, I'm slow loser also. But it's ok. I lose about 1-2 pounds per week now and feel like a great 'loser'. I exercise 5-6 times perweek at the local gym and can feel like a bear when I miss a day now. You're doing great.

Yolanda, 88 pounds is nothing to sneeze at - that's a great accomplishment! I get frustrated because I read these boards and see how much more others have lost as compared to me. But then I realize that even one pound lost is a step in the right direction. I'm not where I'd hoped to have been by now, but I agree with you. I would do it again in a heartbeat! Take care, Jen
