9 months post-op and loss
Im 9 months post op and have ONLY loss 66 pounds! It is so depressing when I learn of others who have surgery the same time as I and have lost more than me. Dont know what went wrong, thinking of a revision. I will be so ashamed to for my yearly and have not reached my goal. I admit that I went into to this blindly thinking it was some miracle cureall for me, but since then I have done everything I was suppose to do, sure I get depressed when the scale wont budge but who dosent, then I wont do anything right. I guess Im just stuck. Any suggestions? Im told that people who weight less loose slower. I started @ 266 @5ft tall. And being short dosent help at all cuz I just look more stacker that a person weighing the same @ 5'4. If anyone out there has had this problem or issue please share.

266/200/???
I am also 9 months out, I have lost 77 lbs. I started at 220. I have kinda lost slow. But I am very happy with my results. I hope to lose 20 more. But I think 66 is pretty good for you. Just think how hard it would be to lose 66 and keep it off without the surgery. You will lose more too. I sure don't want mine reversed. I love my pouch. And thank God everyday for being able to have this surgery. Good luck and just keep doing what you are supposed too. Lisa
I agree with Lisa, hang in there. You'll lose more. It is only a tool, and we have to use it as such. When I hit those slow down times, like now, I increase my water consumption & walk more. Try measuring yourself. I found during my plateaus my body continued to shrink even though the scale wasn't moving. Give it a shot. Seeing the numbers go down will help with the depression, and get you thru the plateau.
Well, I am 9 months out today 5-30-05, and I have lost just 80 pounds. I have been stuck for almost 2 months now. I wonder if the weight will come off anymore at all. But today I am joining a gym to try and get more exercise then I have been getting. I am going to try very hard to get to the gym 4 - 5 days a week. Hopefully this will help jump start the weight loss again.
I feel your pain, and I get depressed about it sometimes too.
My sister had the surgery after me and her weight lose is slow like mine, so maybe it is just in our genes.
Hang in there everyone.
