8/30's - progress report
That time again...I am glad to say that after no weight loss for the last week, i went down 5lbs in one week - that's the most I've lost in 1wk. I attribute it to me upping my water intake and walking during lunch. Since the weather has been so great in Los Angeles, I go for a 20min walk during lunch and just take in some sun. I've also STOPPED missing breakfast (i noticed a few of you noted that you don't have breakfast on the 'what did you eat today' post...baaad!..it makes a difference) I'm so bad about eating breakfast as well, but now have a quick fruit (mainly apple or banana) on my drive to work.
Post your progress for this week; if you didn't lose any today or plateau continues:
what will you be doing this week to change your current eating/exercise routine?
For myself, I'll be increasing my walking since I felt that made a difference. I'll be walking 20mins more mins a day (even if it means getting my butt up at 11pm or 6am and getting on the threadmill).
Loss this week: -5lbs (that's a record for me...I'm usually 2lbs/wk)
Loss thus far: -110
Hope all of you are doing great!

Hey Norma!
I am so jealous you are in the 140s. I can't wait to get in the 140s even if it is 149. I'm still ticking away at this 1 lb. a week which brings me to 151. I know I need to up my water and walk that will be my goal for the week. Congrats on the big loss this week! Thanks for posting!

Being in the 140s is definitely sweet! You'll be there in no time, let's just be as good as we can be. I fit into a size 10 and even fit into a size 8 skirt this weekend; I was blown away by that. I still feel like I have plenty to lose and need to hit the gym more often, as I bet we all do.
Be good

Hi there Tammy,
After I go to the gym, I notice that I do lose more overall. I may not lose that same week, but the next few weeks I see some results on the scale. Also remember that you may be losing inches and sizes rather than pounds, per say. Down tha****er as much as you can When I get in my car, I take a water bottle with me (16oz) and my goal is to fini**** by the time I get to my destination. Little things like can't hurt, ya know when I've hit a plateau, I get the loss going again by sneaking in a protein drink here and there (I do mine with Lactaid milk to get a few extra grams of protein). But like I mentioned, for me, I notice my weight loss more when I do get to the gym a little more or walk 20mins a day...anything to get the blood pumping and metabolism rollin' When we hit a plateau, we should all find a way to spark up our metabolism and get away from habits that are not allowing our body to lose the excess weight. Minimize a little on the food if you feel you're eating too much, or get some good/healthy snacks in throughout the day to spark up your metabolism if it's a little slow (a fruit, almonds, etc).
We all have to be good, especially that our 1yr anniversary will be in a few months
