eating more than before

After posting the list of foods on the 8/30 progress post, I realize this past week I was more hungry than usual. I stick to 3 meals and don't snack much, but this last week I couldn't wait for it to be lunch or dinner...even ended up having lunch earlier this weekend to just calm my appetite down. Is this normal for 8months out...?! anywho, it still is much less than before and feel I'm eating adequately, but just noticed a big change this last week. Anybody else experience this recently? hey Narma yeah i notice I eat more now also... but then again ijust think it seems that way I try to do the 5 mini meals a day, and I actually feel good doing it...good luck Lisa

Norma, I had the same realization just yesterday! It is actually starting to scare me too. I am not only eating more through out the day, I'm also eating things that are higher in fat and calories. It is this realization alone that will probably keep me from standing on the scale today (9 month anniversary). I am totally terrified of possibly seeing more than 158 (my weight last time I stood on the scale)! I actually feel like I'm eating more than before (WLS). I know I'm not because the portions are much much smaller, but I'm definitely eating more often. Before the WLS, I would only eat twice a day. Now I'm eating 4-5 times a day and it's always more than a cup of food per eating session. I'm just grateful that I've realized this "issue" so that I can now deal with it and get it under control. It also helps that with the warmer weather brings more affordable fruits and veggies! I've had about all of the bananas I can stand (ate them a lot in the beginning) and I'm reading for some good stuff! Best of luck to you!

Hi Norma!! I find I'm eating more also and I have to fight the snack demon much more now. I also seem to go for the easy foods and carbs right now so I can eat more of these. I go for Ritz crackers and cheese or cottage cheese, yogurt, potatoes.I find if I make myself eat dense meat and more salad I realize I still have a tool that works !! But for some reason my 3 week stall even after eating more last week is over I lost 6 lbs.I went to eating 5 small times a day. thanks, Linda

Hi all, I too noticed that I was eating more. I think that it is emotional eating because I have been under some relationship development stress. If you know what I mean. Anyway, I'm glad to be aware of it and it has given me an oppertunity to make better choices about what I want to eat and how I want to deal with stress. Kathy 311/214/145 -97

HEY NORMA' MAN I THOUGHT IT WAS JUST ME........ I AM GLAD IT ISN'T, I GUESS THAT MEANS THERE IS STILL HOPE! JUST THE LAST FEW WEEKS I HAVE ACTUALLY FELT HUNGRY, AND I CAN'T WAIT UNTIL A MEAL TIME, AND A FEW TIMES I ACTUALLY CAUGHT MYSELF EATING WHEN I WASN'T HUNGRY! THAT IS WHAT SCARED ME THE MOST! I HAVE ALSO FOUND THAT SUGARS AND FATS DON'T SEEM TO BOTHER ME AS MUCH, SOMETIMES THEY STILL DO, THANK GOD, BUT I STILL WISH THAT I HAD NOT DISCOVERED THAT! I AM EATING SUNFLOWER SEEDS LIKE CRAZY TRYING TO ARREST MY SNACK DEVIL, MOST TIMES IT WORKS BUT NOW I AM WONDERING IF I AM ACTUALLY TRAINING MYSELF TO CONSTANTLY EAT BY CHEWING SEEDS ALL OF THE TIME.... HOW HAVE YOU BEEN COPING WITH THE EATING CHAGES... ANY IDEAS? SHARE GIRL, SHARE! LOL
