8/16ers Update
Hi Ladies! I have been having a FANTASTIC week!!! I have lost 6 lbs. since Monday, and 11 lbs. since 4/11...I can't believe it is finally moving again! I'm so excited! I have now lost 107.6 lbs! I'm hoping that I can keep on this track and keep moving downward. I feel like a failure every single time the weight stops, or it goes back up, so I'm feeling like a pretty big winner the past 1 1/2 wks. In the last 4 weeks I have also lost another 3.5", 2 of which came off my hips. I'm guessing that has just been the last 1 1/2 weeks though, I bought pants Tuesday a week ago that were too tight (2 pair), and they both fit me this week, I wore one pair on Wed., and the other pair today....and with all my new clothes, I look cute if I might add! I really think that this second job is really helping with the weight loss, I have been there 1 1/2 weeks, so I don't think it is a coincidence.
Anyway...I had to share my good news....
I have a new pic added to my profile, one of my new outfits, has a little wrinkle to it from driving to work, but I think I looked cute...check it out!!!

Thanks Maria...I've been so depressed that my weight had slowed down so drastically. Plus, I was starting to compare myself to others, that had even less weight than I had to lose, and they were surpassed me in their weight loss. I know we aren't supposed to compare to eachother, but it is so hard not too. I'm really hoping to lose another 35 between now and my one year appointment sometime in August, I'm hoping that isn't unrealistic. The surgeon said I should be down 130 by my one year and I told him, know I was going to be down 150 (which is his total goal for me), although another 35 lbs. would put me at 142 lbs....but I'll take it!
I just want to prove to him that I can be at his goal in one year. Then the last 35 or 40 are going to be my greatest accomplishment. I would love to be down to 165 by my 2 year appointment. Hopefully that isn't too aggressive of a goal!
Thanks again!

I am so elated to hear of your success. I too am having quite a problem with the scale moving. I was at 180 when I went to see my surgeon on 04/05. Then on 04/06 I was down to 175. Boy was I geeked. Then when I weighed again on 04/10/05 I was back up to 180 where I've been every since. Move scale NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!! But, I know what you guys are saying. Stay off the freaking scale. It is just so hard. Much continued success Judith. Save some pounds lose for me.
Hey Judy! You're such an inspiration to me. Thanks for keeping us all so motivated!
I finally broke that blasted plateau and dropped about 12 pounds in the last 6 weeks. I just pushed the exercise and cut back on my carb intake. It seems to be working.
I'm only 6 pounds away from being under 200 pounds. That's my next "goal." My "reward" will be to take in an hour-long massage! Can't wait!
My doctor wants me to get to 160, and I have to agree----that would be a very good weight for me. I'm a very tall girl with big bones, and anything less than 160 pounds would be kind of "too skinny," and with the little bit of excess skin I see now.....I think it would just look really bad to be too thin and not be able to afford plastic surgery!
Thank heavens for 3/4 length sleeves, body smoothers and good panty hose! LOL
I've always wanted to own and wear a white bathing suit, and I just ordered one this week. It is a one-piece (of course) and has a little built-in skirt to it. I have never looked forward to swimsuit season as much as I have this year. I have nothing to fear! I LOVE swimming....and in Alabama, our swim season is from May - September. (Some like to swim earlier and later, but I can't tolerate the cooler water!)
Keep up the fantastic work. I think I will be just as excited for you to reach your goal....as I will be when I do! You look marvelous, by the way!
