Milestone Celebrations?

Here's a question for you all: What have you done or what do you plan to do to celebrate big milestones (such as getting under 200/300 or hitting the century mark or getting to goal)? I have two pounds to go to the Century Club. When I get there, I plan to go get a full makeover at a luxury spa to reward myself. When I get to goal, I hope to get my teeth professionally whitened and get my rings resized. It was a big deal when I got under 200 for the first time in years, but I never did anything particularly special for it even though I planned to. I was going to get contacts and just never got around to it. I still plan to get them at some point. My vision is changing with my weight loss, and my glasses are too loose on my head. They slip down all the time. All my celebrations/rewards have to do with improving my appearance. I really didn't care very much about how I looked when I was 282 lbs. Now I feel like a butterfly emerging, and I enjoy the idea of presenting my best self to the world. So, what have YOU done or will you do to celebrate milestones? I'm just curious and thought it would be fun to ask. ---- Leslie -98

After I lost 100 pounds, I am down 110 lbs., I decided to finally go shopping! I have discovered that I love shopping again! I refused to buy clothes for so long due to my weight that I have forgotten how much I used to enjoy it. So my new goal is to go every time I get paid, once a month, and buy me something new to help replenish my wardrobe! Plus I cut my hair short, something I never would have done before! Susan

I'm going to Universal Orlando this summer with two old friends from school! We're leaving the husbands and kids at home, and we're just going to have 5 action-packed, fun days to frolic and play and laugh---just like we used to do when we were kids! By this date, I will hopefully have hit my "under 200 pounds" goal. I'm at -72 pounds now, but I am almost the same size that I was in college, when I weighed 30 pounds less than I do now! I think the exercise has helped with toning. But, for my special treat (to myself), I plan to indulge in an hour-long massage when I get below 200 pounds. Can't wait to get there! (Also, I really love shopping for new clothes!) ~Laura 286/214/160

I bought myself a Coach purse. I have always wanted one....bought that plus the matching key ring...spent over $300...probably stupid, but I thought I deserved it! Judy

A month after my 1 year anniversary I am riding in a 16 mile offroad Moutain bike race for the first time. I have always wanted to do it but couldn't. This year I can't wait. My husband and I have matching Jerseys. Prior to that, when I hit the century mark I am going to have a full day at the day spa with mud wrap and monsoon shower, pedicure and nails. I am getting my teeth whitened in July as well. I couldn't wait to get my rings resized so I did that earlier in the month. I coudn't stand to be without my wedding ring. I am so thankful for this everyday. Cheri -78

Congrats everyone on your successes. I'm terrible, I've been celebrating since the first of the year. : For the first 70 lbs. I refused to buy any new clothes........now, I can't stop myself even though I'd like to lose 40 more lbs. The clothes are so cute this spring. I did get my wedding band sized last month. They had to put on a whole new 1/2 shank b'cu of the size difference. I went from a size 9 to a size 6. I've even had to start buying new shoes. My shoe size has gone from a nine & a half to an eight. Weird. I think I'll have a monster celebration when I hit the century mark. barb -98
