Well here is my take on it....I am a lot more hungry now, but I still can't eat much. I definately eat more now than in the beginning, but often my "eyes are bigger than my stomach." This leads to vomiting and generally feeling horrible. Most of my "over eating" happens on the weekends, so I am guessing it is the old head hunger rearing its ugly head. take care Alicia 240/144/130

I am eating more know. I do get hungry alot more often know also. I keep thinking something is wrong. But last week when I went to our support group this is also some of the other ladies problems. But I too have the problem with my eyes are bigger than my belly. I doesn't take a whole lot to fill up still. I can sometimes eat more than others .

Hello... I only eat cause I know I have to.. but I really never feel hungry...the week days are easy...I eat turkey meat in the morning and a weigh****cher meal at lunch.... and dinner usually a chicken breast and some kind of vegetables... The weekends are another story... I dont eat like I should...cause we are always running around so we eat out alot.... usually all weekend.... but I watch what I eat... try to be healthy cause I dont want to get sick while we are out... Hi Sunny, It is funny you mentioned oatmeal. I have been craving this something terrible! I almost bought a box of the 50% less sugar brown sugar oatmeal by Quaker. The stats weren't too bad except for the carbs, which I am okay with. I don't know why I didn't buy it because I am kicking myself in the ass now...I am craving it! Do you handle it well? Any problems with it? What kind do you buy and how do you prepare it, with milk or H20? Thanks, Denise 5'3 (well, actually 5'2 and 1/4) day of surgery/current/goal 232/139/128

Denise, I have tried the maple and apple/cinnamon low sugar Quaker oatmeal. I really like them both. I was never an oatmeal eater before surgery, but now I find myself craving it. So far, I have made it with water and then add some carb countdown milk to up the protein. I am going to try making it with only milk to get more protein in. By the way, I was raised in NH and graduated from UNH. My family still lives in the seacoast region. Congrats on your awesome progress! Michelle

I am glad that you posted this because I am having similar feelings. Last night over the course of probably 40 minutes I ate two soft tacos. I felt horrible about it. But after I ate the first one I was still hungry. I am at the point where I wish I could go back to immediately pre-op when I was scared to death to even think about over eating. I have a friend who said she can eat two pieces of pizza. It is so scary because I have been at 220 for almost a month and I know I need to start buckling down on what I am eating. I just got so burnt out on chicken and eggs that I fell off the wagon for a minute. I am glad I read these posts because they always motivate me to get moving again. Much Love, Shelli

Hi all, I hope you don't mind me posting since I technically had my surgery in September, but since it was September 2nd, I always check both Sept. and August posts....with this said, my biggest concern is my pretzles...I think I am addicted! I try so hard not to have them as a snack because I don't want to take in all the carbs, but I fail daily! Congrats Sunny on your progress! You look wonderful! I can't wait to be at goal! Sherry

First of all...congratulations on being so close to goal! I don't think you're eating too much...I feel I'm eating too much...and it's lead to my first plateau. Today I've decided to take charge and although I do eat 6x a day I've been finding myself grazing a lot over the last few weeks. My weight has been bouncing around from 148-150 since the beginning of the month...so starting today I'm going to up my protein and start getting in some exercise. Here was a typical day for me... B - 4oz Dannon Carb Control Yogurt & an Atkins breakfast bar S - some Q-Smart crisps L - a Michaelina's frozen lunch (usually about 3/4 of one) S - more Q-smart crisps or a mini bag of popcorn S - a 100cal pack of Wheat Thins or an Atkins bar...or some chips...something... D - 3/4 chicken thigh (or a whole one if they are small) & a few bites of potato/dressing & a few bites of veggies. and somewhere in there I would have a sf cookie...or maybe 1/2 a 1 gram sugar chocolate bar...or a sf popsicle...so I think I have been eating too much. I'm starting today to revise that...no more mindless grazing for me! Kristy 254/149/130

Thank you Sunny This post is just what I have been looking for. I am glad take some one is having these same ideas about this situation. I have been driving myself crazy with this. I have a few questions; 1) Do any of you go to a nutritionist when you get to this point , I am considering going to one because I only got information about what to eat up until the six week post op and nothing after that. I am a little nervous about trying new things because I don't want to stop losing although it has slowed down some. 2) When you journal do you keep track of carbs ,calories etc? I track my protein and water intake but don't know if i'm supposed to track the others. If any of you do can you give me daily limiteds for them? thanks Mary C
