8/16ers - 30 week check in
Hi Ladies! Hope everyone had a great week. The scale is on the move again, I have lost 3.6 lbs. since last Monday. I have now lost 97 lbs. I was up about .4 this morning from a few days ago, I know that is because that ugly curse that us women have to put up with. But...I am SOOO happy.... I also now, that I am down a little more in my measurements from 3/5. I didn't take a full official measurement this morning, but did check my waist and my hips, and both were down another 1/2 inch from March 5....I'm really hoping to get off the last 3 lbs to 100 by our 7 month on Wednesday.
How are YOU doing?

p.s. I will check back on our 7 month anniversary!!!
I weighed in at 166 this morning. Maybe a pound difference. Had a great week emtoinally though, went home for my 6 month visit. My surgeon is very pleased and excited with my progress. I have already dropped 75% of my excess since surgery and my BMI is down to 28 from 47.6. So hopefully that will help keep me motivated and back into the gym, but last week was crazy so didn't get there just once. Feel like a heel for it but o well this week is a new one. He says I should be able to get into the 130's by our one year, but I will be a bag of bones. And that what is left on my belly is just skin, YUCK! I will be at the plastic surgeon ASAP once he gives me clearance.
Things have slowed down since reaching the 6 month mark. So, far this has been the lowest amount lost in a month for me. I won't complain too much as I am still losing atleast. I just want to make goal by the 1 year mark.
I lost 2 lbs. this week for a total loss so far of 109 lbs.

Hi Judy and everyone!
I'm at a stall now, have been for a couple of weeks. I am "normal" according to my BMI (24.4), for the first time since, well, ever really. I'm weighing in at 155 (I'm 5'7" and a half) and my surgeon's goal was for me to get down to 145, so 10 more pounds to go, if I decide I want to stop there.
It's hard to believe we are coming up on our 7 month anniversary! It really has flown by! My goal is to lose the last 10 pounds by our one year anniversary since I heard those last 10 can take months to come off.
You are all doing great - keep up the good work!

I lost 60% of the goal weight, so my surgeon is pleased, but that was the same stats since CHRISTMAS time and here it is, nearly THREE Months later. -2, +3, -1, +1, -3, +2. It's driving me BONKERS. NO CHEATING, NO SNACKING, NO LOUSY FOODS THAT I SHOULDN'T HAVE. YAAAAARGH! But I guess I have to INCREASE the exercise!
I had Lap RnY on 8-17-04.
I know how you feel, Justina. I haven't lost all that much since Christmas, but I sure "look" different than I did at Christmas. My body is "re-shaping" itself, and although it doesn't seem to be losing much weight, I am still losing inches and my body seems to be re-forming itself to a more "normal" look.
I have been really concerned about my stomach, but now it seems that it is melting away. My "upper stomach" or upper abs, have melted and are much flatter, and I now have a real waist again. Other concerns are sagging skin, but I haven't had too much of that.
I think it will take some time before I break my plateau again....little breaks here and there are OK. I am kind of sad that I am not losing at the same rate I did at first, but I have recently tried to bump up my exercise to include more aerobic activity----in order to jump start another weight loss.
Keep up the good work! I know how hard it is!

Hi everyone,
I'm checking in (just one day late this time). lol I am at 85 lbs lost thus far so that puts me at 93% of excess weight lost at this point.
Things have slowed down for me right now as well. My mind plays tricks on me and I often think "will I lose the last few pounds ever?" Of course I will! I'm only about seven months out and have come this far. I have another 5-11 months for that 'window of opportunity' to lose the rest.
I exercise like a mad woman and am up to almost 8 miles a day, four to five days a week. So yeah, things are great on this end and I really couldn't be happier!
