Hi, just wanted to see how everybody is doing !!! I'm finding it harder to control the snacking demon !! I feel like I'm eating to much also but I guess so does a lot of other people. I would like some ideals on what people eat in a day !! I'm really bored with my diet. I usually have a protein drink first thing then later a boiled egg with sometimes wheat toast, for lunch lean cusine meal, supper some type of meat and some veggie. My snacks are usually nuts , cheese and a SF fudge pop. I also fit 2 more protien drinks in to be sure and get 60 grams protein a day and I drink at least 70 oz water a day.I have lost 120 I try to get to the gym 3 days a week, I'm trying to but I let things get in the way some !! I hope everybody is doing great and feeling good !!! Best wishes, Linda

I FIND MY SELF EATING MORE , I CUT UP GREATFRUIT AND SNCK ON THAT THROUGH OUT THE DAY AT MY DESK AT WORK, I EAT FRIT ALL DAY,I CANNOT CONTROL THE SNACKING ,BUT AT LEAST IT'S HEALTHY. AT NIGHT AS SOON AS I GET HOME I FIX A LARGE SALAD WITH GRILLED CHICKEN, AND I EAT THAT ALL NIGHT LONG ,EVEN FOR BREAKFAST THE NXT MORNING.

Hi Linda! I am not a 8/9 postie, but I am a 8/11 girl! I am doing really well overall. Since surgery, I have lost 90 pounds! WOOHOO! I am thrilled with this. I have 14 pounds until goal. I still can't believe it! I am exercising four times a week, consistently. I actually just started in February but am pretty proud of myself for sticking with it this time. I had a few false starts after surgery but I am totally dedicated now! In regards to eating, I can pretty much handle anything! The only thing that I really don't like anymore which I used to like pre-op are eggs. BLECH. And I crave them at times, but I just can't handle them. I eat a lot of red meat, chicken, yogurt, an occasional lean cuisine, some deli meats, etc. I also have goldfish on occasion. Gotta have a few carbs in my diet! I also have an occasional slice of toast. I go weigh in at my dietcian's office next week, so I am anxious to see what I have lost from now untio then. My scale is four pounds low and reads 138-139, so I am guessing I weigh 142ish. I am 5'3 and my goal is 128. I may want to go lower than that, but it sounds like it will be a good goal for me. Good luck to everyone in their journies! Hugs, Denise

Hi there August 9er's. I'm glad I found this message board. I didn't know it existed. I have lost 101 lbs. since my surgery. I have been stuck at 185 lbs. for almost 5 weeks now and am getting discouraged. HELP. I do know I eat way too much. I can eat a whole large chicken breast with vegetables on the side with no problem. I also don't suffer from dumping so I have found I can eat naughty stuff like sweet bread, pancakes, candy, etc. I only eat those bad things when I'm discouraged or disappointed which is only like shooting myself on my foot because I'm only stalling my weight loss even more. My goal is to get down to 160 and I really hope I can do it by the 1-year mark. My 20-year high school reunion is in Sept. so I want to be at my goal by then. Tomorrow is another day, I will try my best to eat sensibly and drink enough. I can do it, and now that I have found this board, I can check in with you all for encouragement. God Bless LouLou H.

I am doing well... I think... I have lost 95 lbs... before surgery I lost 55 so total of 150 lbs... still got a ways to go but I am feeling so much better..I am taking only 2 prescription meds and a year ago I was on 12...I do not do any protein drinks... my surgeon wants us to get our protein from real food... making a high protein/ low fat diet our life long diet...I eat cottage cheese almost every morning... It is what I tolerate best...I am eating mostly chicken and very lean beef....I am currently stuck on chili... Wendy's and home made..It is very low fat and high in protein... I get 60 gms or more of protein daily.. My 6 month lab work was all prefectly normal... I take a children's chewable multivitamin twice a day. I take in about 70 to 80 ozs of fluid daily. With my arthrits and fibromyalgia, it is hard to get all the exercise I need but I try to do all I can.. I have gotten a treadmill and am trying to walk daily... I am hoping to be able to do more soon.....We all like to compare with others but gotta remember we are all individuals and our success will vary... but focus on the SUCCESS you have and be glad for yourself as well as others... So I am glad we ALL are doing so well and that we made the decison to change our lives to a healthier lifestyle..

Things are good! I have lost 128 lbs so far. I still want to loose another 50-55 lbs. To reach my original goal I would only have another 27 lbs, but I have ammended it. I have experienced an increase in appetite lately, especially at certain times of the month. I have also increased the intensity of my workouts, so that may explain it as well. I just need to stay focused and remember it is just food. When I do snack I try to make it a healthy one. I really feel I am doing well, and I cannot believe how fast this is all happening.
