8/16ers - 29 wk check in
Hi ladies! I promised I'd be back today. The scale finally moved! I had been up last week to 271.6 from 267.4 the week previous. But this morning I was back down to 265.6. I have now lost 93.4 lbs. Only 6.6 to go to 100 lbs. I'm really hoping to lose that 6.6 lbs in the next couple of weeks. I'm not too discouraged though, since in the past 6 weeks I have lost 10.5 inches! I think that is pretty darn good!!!
How is everyone else doing?

Judy,
10.5 inches is awesome. You'll hit that century mark soon. Congrats on getting that scale to move again. I know mine was lodged for a while too and just started moving again. I hit 166 today. That makes a grand total of 120 pounds since July, 114 since surgery, 21 till my goal. My surgeaon just said a BMI of 25, but I am gonna ask him this week to get more specific. I need something to keep me going since things are slowing down.

Hi everyone,
It's been a while since I've checked and since it's spring break here, I thought it would be a good time to do so. My exercise is off the hook! I get to the gym (usually) 4-5 times a week and do 35 minuntes on the elliptical and 50 minutes on the treadmill. I'm even running now and love it.
My weight loss has slowed down but I really can't complain overall. I've lost 84 lbs so far, which is pretty good for a "lightweight." I can eat whatever I want (not always a good thing) and haven't had a dumping episode in quite some time.
Guess that's it for me for now. I thought it might be time to get accountable with my peers again. lol Take care, all!
Theresa
Hey Judy! Way to go, girl! You're almost to the century mark!
The scales started moving again for me last week. I'm down a good, solid 70 pounds now. That puts me in the 216's...and I am feeling confident that in a week or two I will be in the 209's....and then my next big goal is to get under 200! I won't be at the century mar****il 186, so I am not pushing it until I get under 200!
However, I did have a recent and unexpected appearance from a body part that I haven't seen in years......MY WAIST! Ha! Ha! There it was, not necessarily a slim, trim, smooth thing, but it wasn't hiding up under a roll of skin and fat for the first time in (oh....I think 17 years?)
What joy! What happiness! I have invested in a couple of all-in-one body shapers from Wal-Mart, and my husband says they make me look really smooth and nice under my clingy knits. I sometimes see my (girl) friends whisper to each other when I walk in a room. And.....I know they are saying nice things. I still feel a little self conscious around men when they give me compliments, but it's a pretty good feeling to know that they are noticing too.
Good luck!

Hope y'all don't mind an 8/20'r crashing your party. I have lost a total of 92 lbs so far. I am now down to 148 lbs. It is really going slow right now, but I have had a horrible week. I didn't get any exercise in last week, but hopefully I will get in a session tomorrow and the rest of the week.
Take care

Hi Judy,
Congratulations on your weight loss and inches loss. I am on a plateau from hell and have not lost anything for a couple of weeks now! I will do my measurements on the 15th so hopefully that will show some loss. But on the bright side, I am down 94 lbs now and really only have about 35 more lbs to go to my goal and only 25 to my DR's. I will just keep up with the daily excercise and continue to watch my eating and I am sure it will come off eventually.
