Hi everyone! Well...today is our 6 month mark! Did you get to where you wanted to be by this point? I didn't, however, I'm very happy with the success that I have had. I'm holding steady at 91 lbs. lost in 6 months. Hopefully the next 9 lbs will come off in the next couple of weeks! I can't imagine where I'd be right now if I hadn't had this surgery 6 months ago. I feel 100% better and have so much more energy. I can't even imagine what the difference will be when I lost another 101 lbs. (that's my goal, docs goal is another 59 lbs) I'm sure it will be a feeling I have never experienced in my entire life! So how did you do? Congratulations to everyone for a job well done in our first 6 months! JUDY 359/268/167?

Hi Judy As you can see my 6 month aniversary is not until Friday but thought it was close enough for me to join in. Weight wise I am doing fine -81lbs. However I am having a few post-op problems with swelling and spasm's in my abdomen. Last surgeon I went to see was of no help what so ever, so I am awaiting an appointment with a new surgeon. Enough of my complaining. You are doing great your so close to your 6 month goal I am sure you will reach it in no time at all. Lap RNY 8/18/04 272/191/140 Jackie From Scotland

Judy, You are doing great. I bet you make it for sure by your birthday at the end of the month!!! As for me, I can't believe it has been 6 months already. Time seems to have flown by. I feel wonderful with lots of energy and I'm not lazy like I used to be. Maybe I wasn't really lazy, just burdened down with so much weight it was a huge task to do anything. I feel as if I have gained back some of the life I thought was gone. I actually feel my age for the first time in years. I am still holding at 101 lbs. lost. Christie 338/237/170 67 lbs. to goal

Hi Judy, Well, Here we are at 6 months post-op. What a difference it makes. I feel wonderful! Clothes shopping is a blast, I am exercising regularly, I am down 90 lbs and have about 37 more lbs to go to my goal. (15 lbs to my Dr and nutritionist's goal for me). I hit a couple of plateaus along the way, but I am trying very hard to learn the way of life to maintain this weight loss forever. Sandy 259/169/132

Hey Judy! Today is my 6 mo. anniversary. I'm down officially 65 pounds since the day of surgery. But, 110 pounds lost from my top weight several years ago! Yea! Like you, my goal is a little lower than what the doctor says is a good goal. I will make that determination when I get closer, but I am really eager to get there! Sure wish there was some easy way to get these last pounds and inches to melt off as fast as the first ones did! LOL I'll just have to keep on exercising more and eating less! Just like everyone else!!! Good luck to you! ~Laura 286/221/135-150? -65 pounds!

Hey Judy! Congrats on every pound lost! my 6 month mark was February 3rd and I am 150lbs down. I started at 388 and now I am below 240. I would do this surgery all over again if need be. it is the best thing that has ever happened to me. I went from having to order my 4X-5X clothes from online and catalogs to buying my first pair of old navy size 16 jeans isnt life after WLS wonderful. well congrats again and dont worry you will lose every pound and then some. have a great day! Hi everyone! Six months and one day for me hehe - I'm posting late! I've lost 82 pounds since surgery and 137 from my first consult. Since I had lost so much weight prior to surgery - the only goal I set, besides my ultimate goal of weighing 145 - was to lose 50% of my excess weight by 6 months out I've lost over 80% so I'm feeling very good! My life has changed in so many ways in the last 6 months, it truly is amazing. I have an appointment with my surgeon tomorrow so I will post to let everyone know how that goes. Everyone is doing SO great! Congratulations of all of your successes!! YAY! Aimée 300/245/163/145

Have not made goal yet, but getting close. I started at 283 and am at 188, so I have lost 95 pounds. The doctor said 167 was my ideal weight, so I still have 21 pounds to go, but that seems pretty darn possible! Hope everyone is doing well! Tiffany
