148 lbs!?!??

Hi everyone, I had an appointment with my pain doctor today and their scale revealed that I now weigh 148 lbs! That is insane! Just last week I was 155 lbs. I lost 7 pounds in a week?? At six months post-op? WOWZA! Since my surgery on 8/11/04, I have lost a total of 84 lbs. I am totally blown away by this! I have exactly 20 lbs to go to get to my personal goal of 128 lbs (I am only 5'3). My surgeon's goal for me is 135 lbs, so we will see how I feel once I get there...I am thinking 128 will be better, but who knows. When I first started this journey, I didn't think I would hit goal. I never thought it was possible. Well, now I KNOW it is possible and I am so EXCITED!!!!!! I had to share with you all! Hugs, Denise

Way to go Denise!!! isnt life after WLS wonderful!!! you will be at that goal before you know it. I am 6' and started out at 388lbs now I am 150lbs down in 6mos and loving life! I have 60 more lbs to go and I know how it feels to think you will never reach that goal ! I always have to stand back and look at the big picture of how much I have lost in so little time but I guess you just want it to hurry up and be gone! LOL take care and keep up the good work! Maggie
