DRINKING FROM A STRAW???????

I had surgery August 31st. Today is the 1st day I have had very bad stomach pains, it felt like knifes in my stomach. The only thing different that I did was, I drank my crystal light with a straw. I thought it would be ok. Has anyone else had pain from this. I guess you get tooooo much air. Please Help!!!!!!!

I drink from a straw all the time, and have been since early on with no problems. Are you sure they were stomach pains and not from being constipated? If in doubt, call your MD.

I have definitley experienced discomfort from drinking out of a straw. If I drink from a straw the moment I do I can feel the air and it doesn't settle well. I wouldn't call them stomach pains but definitley discomfort. I really do miss drinking from a straw. I think it is so weird that I can't. --Marianne

I've been drinking from a straw since about 8 wks out, even though they said 6 months. I have never had any trouble. JUDY
