I made egg beaters today. I made 1/2 cup (which equals two eggs) put a slice of ham in it and 2 TBSP of cheese. It was really yummy. I ate about 80 % Of it. I measure everything I eat. I am wondering if this is too much to eat. DH saw my plate and said, "you aren't going to be able to eat all of that". I said, "well, it is in my meal plan, let's see." I ate 80% of it, so I did well. It gave me 20 grams of protien too, for only 120 calories and 3 carbs! Do you eat this much at 6 months post op?

Hey MT, For the most part I can still only eat 1 to 1.5 eggs. There are days though that I am more hungry and can put away 2. I notice I drop more pounds around that time - weird huh...

I have never been able to eat eggs as just the smell makes me but I can see how you could eat that much. It really depends on the day for me how much I can eat. For example, last night I was able to eat way more than usual. I had about 4-5 bites of beans with cheese (I went out for mexican), probably 4-5 bites of rice, and about a 1/3 of one chicken enchilada. I was able to eat a whole sopapilla (HOW???) and I also had one corn tortilla. I have no clue how I was able to eat that much because today I ate much less and got so sick!! I don't make it a habit to let myself have that much even if I feel like I can eat it, but today I had lost another pound so go figure. Anyway, I wouldn't worry about the 2 eggs...it doesn't sound that bad to me. Natalie 281/204/125

I can only eat one egg if anything else is mixed in. I haven't tried 2 eggs as I really like cheese or meat with them. I would say if our meal plan says it is OK, than it's OK!!! Christie 338/242/170

You know I'm not sure...I haven't eaten eggs since I was like 4 weeks out...just the thought of them makes me want to . But I find that there are meals where I just grub...eating more than I think I should...and then the next day or even meal...I can hardly eat anything. I think you're doing just fine... Every once in a while I can eat 2 boiled eggs, but if I make a egg omlet with cheese I usually can only eat 1.. I am not big on breakfast though.. I think I hold more at lunch time or dinner.. Weird I know.. Sheila

No way. I can't eat that much. I can only eat maybe 1/2 an egg. I usually share the other half with my rats. (they LOVE eggs)

I can eat 1 hard boiled egg and two small beef sausage links. Also consider what size eggs they are. There is a BIG difference between medium and extra large eggs! When I came out of surgery, I had a one-egg size pouch, so I guess it has stretched a little. My surgeon said that was to be expected. Success is not based on the size of your pouch. It is based on you sticking to the rules and exercise. *~Amber~*
