Awhile back, I read an article about why we lose our hair after WLS and why we can't do anything about it. I couldn't find the article again, but someone just posted it on the Texas message board: http://www.obesityhelp.com/morbidobesity/state-forums/TX/postdetail/127582.html?vc=0 I thought those who are still losing hair like crazy might take some comfort from reading it (and maybe save some money on products, too). ---- Leslie 5'3" 282/197/135

Thanks, Leslie. I needed to hear this! When I first had surgery, I was determined NOT to lose my hair, and now it seems that I couldn't have avoided it anyway. My hair loss has started to slow down some, but it's still coming out more than "normal." It is fairly annoying to continuously "pick" hair off my shirts, out of my soup or salad, bathroom vanity, tub drain, oh...just everywhere! And I thought my old long-hair cat used to shed a lot! Thinner hair and a thinner body. Not really all that bad, when you think about it! ~Laura
