why so slow?
Hang in there... mine has been very slow too.. but the inches are coming off... I have gone from a size 18/20 to a size 8...
It is frustrating when the scale doesnt move at all... I have been at 155 for several weeks now... but I know that I am losing inches... everything is getting to be to big on me...

Not to wooy I am only 2 days after you and i have lost 61.53. I too have been slow and I get fustrated BUT everyone tells me that slower is good because you wont have alot of sagging skin and it is better for lonf term weight maintaince. It is easyer to manage and keep off...who knew I never had a problem with maintaining....never lost all mu waght brfore! I guess as thay say "slow and steady wins the race". good luck

I sooooooooooo know the feeling... I haven't lost anything either since Christmas... just hung around the same weight since then... nothing seems to help it move AT ALL!!!!!!!
I guess the best thing to do is not get discouraged. I've lost 79 pounds since my surgery on 08/03/04, and my Dr. says I will still lose more, so we've got to keep our *****not chins anymore!) up! Since so many of us are going through the same thing all at once, it must be a common thing!
Hang in there...

Hey there, I had RNY on 8/2 and am down 70lbs. I exercise 5 days a week and try to get as much liquid as I can and protien but I am a slow loser. I have never been thin so I think my body is fighting it because it is afraid of the unknown. At least I like to think of it that way when I get discouraged. I agree with one other post though. Slow and steady as she goes and less saggy skin, more time to tone. Help program good habits for the future. Keep up the great work. 64lbs is great.

I am here to post to make you all feel better. I suck. I have lost only 40lbs. My surgery was 8-9-04. I thought loosing at a slow pace all along would be o.k., then I come in here and see how everyone else is doing. I excersise 4 xs a week, watch what I eat. People tell me all the time how good I look, how much weight I have lost, etc. But the scales do not reflect that. So if you have lost more than 40 lbs since August surgery, Great job....
Don't feel bad I have been a slow loser too. My surgery was 8-2-04 and I have lost 78 lbs. I went from a size 26 to a size 16 so far. I didn't get to exercise until a month and one half after surgery because of complications. Then I ws going to the gym 5 days a week and walking on top of that. Then Thanksgiving week hit and I fell on that Monday and broke my right ankle and Right foot. So no walking for awhile. I have just started back to walking again and working out some. I lost all my muscle mass that I had built up. It gets depressing when that scale don't move for weeks. I was told that weight loss would slow down around 6 months anyway.
Good Luck!!!
