Hello all you 8/10'ers! How's it going? I weighed in this morning and was down another 2 lbs!! I feel great. I am now officially down 100 lbs from last year and 90 lbs from my surgery date of 8/10. I am now also able to eat poultry in small quantities. I'm getting a lot of compliments still however, now I am starting to get.."How much more weight are you going to lose?" and "When are you going to stop, you're getting too skinny?". I don't know why people would say that to me. My doctor wants me to lose at least 10 more lbs. How is everyone else doing? Take care, Charis 255/165/?

Hi Charis, Hope I can reply being an 8/11'er and not an 8/10'er . You are doing such an awesome job! I was always a slow loser and even though our "tool" makes it easier, it doesn't make it faster! I'm down 74 pounds and I'm in a size 22, down from a 30/32. I work out 4 times a week and feel really good. I can eat anything and have been doing well with my protein and water. I just hope my steady pace keeps up. I want to lose 100 by my daughter's wedding in May. Keep up the good work, Michelle

Hi Charis, Well, this weight isn't official, as it is from my scale. I think it is accurate, but I only use my surgeon and dieticians scales (they are exactly the same) as my official weigh-ins. I am actually going on Wednesday to get weighed in officially, but I think my scale is pretty accurate, because the last time I went to weigh in at my surgeon's office, I weighed on my scale right before leaving for my appointment and there was only 1 lb difference. So, this should be a pretty good picture of where I am right now. On the day of surgery (8/11), I have lost 77 lbs! I now weigh 155 lbs! Only 25 lbs to goal, baby! WOOHOO!!! In January 2004, exactly one year ago, I was at my highest weight; 268 lbs. Since then, I have lost 113 lbs! I can not even believe it! I am currently in a size 12 for pants and skirts (I do have a size 10 that fits!). In shirts I am a large in misses. I can't believe that....I am down from a 22/24 or 2X. It is THRILLING. My friend who had WLS in April, who is at goal and in size 5 JUNIORS, has given me all of her clothes from her different stages in her journey. She brought me some new things tonight (size 12) and they all fit! It is such an amazing feeling. Congrats to everyone! Hugs, Denise highest(1/04)/date of surgery/current/goal 268/232/155/130ish

I am such a dope. I meant to say, "On the day of surgery (8/11), I weighed 232 lbs. I now weigh 155 lbs, for a total loss since surgery, of 77 lbs." I forgot to add my starting weight in my initial post. I REALLY wish we had an edit button! LOL!

Hi Charis, I had surgery 8/11/04 and since than I have lost 109#s . Before I had surgery I had lost 60#s so for a grand total so far I have lost 169#s. I still have about 100#s more to go till I reach my personal goal. So far so good! Leslie

I'm an 8/9er and have lost 73 pounds. I think that's pretty good especially since I don't have the malabsorption factor. I walk about 2 miles a day at least five days a week. Other than that I pretty much eat whatever I want. My only question is what is everyone's attitude towards food? I hear people say they have to remind themselves to eat, food is just nutrition for them, etc.... I can't lie, I still love food. Maybe this is something that comes with time. How is everyone else doing with this? Natalie 281/208/125
